Anyone else enjoying the crafting in this game as much as I’m? It has simple mechanic but yet really fun and addicting.
Just wait until you get to the snow area....Just finished the events in Octagonia, a little disappointed how it all played out:
How is there no punishment for Vince? How are the other fighters not royally pissed?! I assume people died for what he did, is the whole thing just glossed over after he expresses regret or is it addressed again later? That said, really liking Jade as a character!

The 2nd half of the game....
About 40 hours into it.
MASSIVE SPOILERS, don't look if you haven't seen certain scenes, you'll know.
Is freaking amazing. Someone joins the party I had no idea would be a party member! And bascially the game starts over. You can't zoom to places, looks like you have to find the orbs again and your lost party. Whew. This game is amazing.

I personally use it to upgrade my already equip weapons and armours and also if you do perfection work you get nice amount of pearls.Still taking my time and played another longer session (~ 5h) yesterday evening, where i finally got to the crafting.
Its fun to me, already crafted some good stuff since then.
Does it make sense to save your pearls from successful work for later in game - or to use it also now in the beginning?

returning from the castle
That your whole town has been destroyed, your mother and childhood sweetheart are possibly dead but be a good person after the country destroys all you know and love. This really irks me. Like it got me thinking did everyone die. Shouldn't the main character be burying the townsfolk. How bout a bit of sorrow outside of just standing around in shock for a few seconds. Did the townsfolk hide right after he left since he visited the past or are they actually dead. So it just got me thinking was the townsfolks dead or was the town simply destroyed and I simply didn't see them when I passed through the town?
I don't know if this is answered later in the story, I only just now got the last two characters to join my party. I took it as they all left to go hide somewhere since there're no bodies or anything. Could be that they're all dead, but if that were the case I'd have expected a much stronger reaction from the Hero as you say.

To answer your questions, this is addressed later in the story, but it doesn't stop the way the protag reacts from being really weird and jarring. I felt like that about him for a lot of the story though. His present version is really a blank slate for the player as far as emotion goes.I don't know if this is answered later in the story, I only just now got the last two characters to join my party. I don't see how its a spoiler, cause it happens after you beat the game.
Ya do side quest even count as spoilers? They don't really add much to the story.Okay.
Dude not sure if you are trolling but its a thing you get after you finished the game?Ya do side quest even count as spoilers? They don't really add much to the story.
Cause it has nothing to do with the main story, and its optional quest. You might as well say going to the casino is a spoiler. Theres a lot of side quest in this game that you can skip or miss, and it still won't change the main out come. Thats pretty much in any video game ever with side quest.Dude not sure if you are trolling but its a thing you get after you finished the game?
How the hell is that not a spoiler
-edit- ah thanks mod
Even then, how difficult can it be to use spoiler tags just to be safe?Dude not sure if you are trolling but its a thing you get after you finished the game?

you can easily swap skillpointsI'm kind of regret putting Sword on Sylvando. I really like the character I want to put him on my party but his just not doing same damage as others like Jade with spear or even Erik with knives.
So how much harder is Super Strong Monsters? I'm about to start the game but after looking around and seeing comments about how easy the game is I thought I might do Super Strong Monsters but then it seems to be that you eventually hit a wall at that difficulty. So the choice seems to be Very Easy or Very Hard.
Anyone have real experience with both options?
I'd try Super Strong but I'm worried I'll end up reverting to normal mode after it ramps up the difficulty too high and then I'm far too overleveled for normal.
Yea, I might use Respec on him.you can easily swap skillpoints
Sounds good then, I'll stick to normal if that's the case. I'm not looking for a major challenge, I just didn't want to sleep walk through the combat either and I heard a lot of comments about how easy it is, but when I think about it, most of those comments are from right after release so their experience would be from the early first half of the game.I'm not sure this statement is fair, most people seem to think Normal is decently balanced for the 2nd half of the game and on, and just too easy at the beginning. Likewise they say strong monsters is a good challenge early on, but becomes quite tedious on the back half and post game.
I will say that I think normal has been relatively easy, especially if you're used to the "random" encounters posing any threat. That said, I've had several deaths on boss encounters, so it's not like I was sleep walking through them. I'm probably 2/3rd through the first half of the game. The pre-order accessories do contribute a lot to the trivializing of random encounters as well, so if you don't have those you might find normal to be a little more demanding in the beginning.
Don't worry you're not alone. I have been extremelly busy lately. :/ At this rate there's no way i'll be able to finish this game before the end of the year...I can't play as much as everyone else (I'm 13 hours in) but I really enjoy the ability to swap party members mid fight, it's such a nice change from being stuck with a party.
Damn, you get through the game fast. I just reached...Final dungeon time!!
I hear this game has a pretty large post game with its own story.
