Nah, because all you'd be doing is a DNS redirect. If you have them register the domain for you, THEN they would be able to keep it.

Usually takes an hour and a bit, I thought. Just sit back and relax.

Worse comes to worse, you can email customer support. They've been pretty helpful on the rare occasion I needed to ask them something.

As for domains, they work like any other registrar; nothing to keep you from switching your domain registrar once the term of the plan is over (if it's free), whenever you want (if it's not), and it's probably not a big deal to set up something otherwise.

On the payment screen, I clicked to charge my card but now the page is just sitting there... It says to only click once and that it make take a minute, but it's been about 15 minutes now. The little status bar is sitting at around 40%.

just checked - i'm careless with my money but that should be the amount (records hasn't yet shown it but the balance indicates they sort of took about 10 USD) and I wouldn't have thought to check. I did do the 777 code. Funky Papa you should check with them

I'm not taking any chances. I just mailed them and told them to look into it for me right now and cancel the account and payment if it is indeed $119.00.

Any company worth their salt should have good customer service and make sure to clear this issue up, though.

But 99 bucks was allocated to some funny company as mentioned in my earlier post (my first/second post up the top). I reckoned that was where the promo difference went and i guess that was it.

noticed this? about $10 USD was billed to visa and the other 100 bucks was billed to some promotion/company. I can't find that page again. (not looking very hard) but I reckon that's the 777 code allocated the monetary difference to the promotional sponsors

Solved. I *don't get* how this promotion is old since other people have signed without problem, but hey, kickass.

Maybe someone should edit the thread title or the first post to warn other members about this.

This promotion is old--it was advertised as part of their 7 year birthday blowout. Only 777 people were supposed to be able to do it. Maybe they just NOW hit the 777th person.

But their support is ACE and I'm sure they'll take care of any of you who didn't get what you expected. They earn your support--that's why we're all crazy about them.
