Dusk Golem: "The next remakes are Resident Evil: Code Veronica & Resident Evil Zero. They should be releasing in 2027/2028"

There's a lot of cool changes they can make for both.
 
I like Zero a lot, may be my favorite classic title. Hoping not only this is true, but that it's also developed in-house so it doesn't become another RE3 Remake situation. But Zero doesn`t really need a remake unless 1 also gets a remake. Currently, Zero and REmake kinda work as a classic introduction to what the series used to be and then you can step into 2 Remake and work from there. The original Code Veronica needs a remake way more than Zero. It is a good sequel for hardcore fans, has a good number of puzzles and the map design is cool; but it's infuriating as hell... A CV remake also paves the way for 5, since 5's story doesn't make sense without CV.
 
DuskGolem has been very hit and miss with his scoops. I'll believe it when I see it, but I would love a Code Veronica and 0 Remake.

People can argue about the necessity of Remakes, but CV and 0 are games that could actually benefit from Remakes.
 
Much longer than I was expecting. Are we expecting the same fidelity as the previous remakes or will be at the level of RE9 or higher?
 
Code Veronica Remake is the remake I'm looking forward to the most. While the original CV wasn't as fun as the other games before but I really like the lore/story, characters, enemies, and settinf from it and want to see all that done well which is what's going to happen in the remake. The Island and later the Antarctica base have so much potential. Very curious to see the new Bandersnatch, Nosferatu, Tyrant, and especially Alexia Ashford.

RE0 was among the worse classic style RE games but I'll still welcome a remake of it because I know I'll have a lot more fun in it's remake version and it's definitely going to be better than the OG RE0 at least. The potential isn't as high as CV but I'll still want to see it. The Proto Tyrant should be a creepy stalker type and keep the twitching part in when it walks.
 
If true, Code Veronica is indeed the one that would benefit the most from an update. If they do a Zero Remake, I think a REmake remake is inevitable at that point. Wonder if they will actually Remake all the mainline games. I didn't think 4 needed one, but it was pretty awesome. Maybe they can also surprise us with 5. I have absolutely no idea how they should approach 6... maybe the way to go is a complete redo, though I gotta admit it was pretty funny and fun to play through it with a friend.

Yep they are 100% going to do the RE1 Reremake once Zero is out of the way.

They might make RE5 Remake the final remake with a end to Wesker which would end the old era saga. Hopefully change up the story for a cooler finale with Wesker and add some new enemies in. The cut Tyrant content for RE5 should be in it's remake version.

Stop the cap sir, zero flaws. RE Code Veronica easily is the best of the old style Resident Evil titles. It is a great game, thus will be a great remake.

People sleep on how amazing that story is.

What I'm saying Dan is, I can't wait for that sus cross dressing lol

I don't know why this clown isn't banned as source. According to him they were going to remake RE1 next too, RE Outbreak, RE5... RE9 was going to be in an Asian island with Leon and many other RE games that never happened.

He only was right with the RE Village teaser, that's all. But if he claims they are doing all the possible RE projects they could do some day he'll be eventually right once, like a broken clock. xDDD
 
CV and 0 have something in common: they both get better when you learn to play around their flaws.

As much as I would be interested to see what improvements they can make to both, the idea of Capcom tackling the Ashford story in 2025 and pussying out makes the idea a mixed bag.

I would say we'll have to see, but first we need to see if this is another swing and a miss for Mr Low Batting Average.

Gonna get hammered if this ever gets announced for this exact reason. Not a shittier pair in the world than game publishers and the need to sanitize history.

Edit: Well, corporate fanboys and the defense of rewriting or designing shit for low IQ queef burglars might be its equal now that I think about it.

This guy knows nothing. He was spreading constant rumors about re9 that ended up being false and then he acted like he wasn't wrong about them. He lies nonstop to get attention upon himself.

Maybe. It won't be so blatant but could still be there in some capacity. In RE4 during the boat ride with Ada they have a panning shot of her legs (edit: its not a close up pan) where Leon is clearly ogling for a second. In the remake they lose the pan and ogle but still have an angle to show off her lower body.

Agreed lots of potential for this game. The setting/location was really nice and with the best cast of characters Claire, Chris, Steve, Alfred, Alexia, and Wesker. And even got a awesome mix of enemy variety and bosses.

The bad things from it were they have all the great material but didn't do it as well as they could have. The gore was toned down from the pervious games, the backtracking and replay value wasn't as good as RE1 to RE3. There's some things that you could easily missed or messed up without knowing beforehand that you'll switch to Chris. More chance to get snuck like the Tyrant plane boss if you didn't save up for explosive bolts or got bio gas rounds etc. But all this they could easily fix in the remake which combined with the amazing cast and great story is going to make a top tier RE game.

I actually really love both Billy and Rebecca, so I'm excited for it. It could benefit from some legit changes the most too. I'm more excited for CV than 0.
