Dusk Golem: "The next remakes are Resident Evil: Code Veronica & Resident Evil Zero. They should be releasing in 2027/2028"

If I don't see this in the remake, then fuck crapcom for being soft weaklings.

I doubt this would be put in, what I think will happen is we'll see Steve flirt and his eye looking down to check her out but the camera won't move to Claire's butt. And I'm fine with it since this scene was from Darkside's Chronicles instead of the OG RE Code Veronica anyway. You can still rest ensure since Capcom always made great character designs excluding RE7 so Claire, Alexia, and the other characters are going to look good. Capcom was one of the few companies that always made great looking characters excluding 7.

Agreed lots of potential for this game. The setting/location was really nice and with the best cast of characters Claire, Chris, Steve, Alfred, Alexia, and Wesker. And even got a awesome mix of enemy variety and bosses.

The bad things from it were they have all the great material but didn't do it as well as they could have. The gore was toned down from the pervious games, the backtracking and replay value wasn't as good as RE1 to RE3. There's some things that you could easily missed or messed up without knowing beforehand that you'll switch to Chris. More chance to get snuck like the Tyrant plane boss if you didn't save up for explosive bolts or got bio gas rounds etc. But all this they could easily fix in the remake which combined with the amazing cast and great story is going to make a top tier RE game.
It was a product of its time in terms of backtracking. The story and cast of characters made up for it and remain my fav in the game series, I too, also loved the game setting

I just hope they don't have the RE4R Wesker VA fuck up the mood again (or any other VA for that matter) if Code Veronica is remade.

Now that's the sort of remakes I can get behind. The originals are mid at best, turning those into good games would be great.

I love both of these games. Code Veronica was my favorite RE before the remakes. Claire is my favorite RE character. Veronica is Claire's game. It's an absolutely must play imho, and one of my favorite games ever. These flaws you speak of are not flaws I remember. RECV is solid gold.

Gimme RE5 remake you cowards.
I'll take anything RE but the only thing I remember RE5 for was them turning my favorite SP franchise into a multiplayer game with a seemingly irrelevant story and the most horseshit of all quick time events that gave all QTE a bad name up until Clair Obscure E33. RE5 is where it all went downhill. Why RE5?

The middling reviews didn't turn me off. The QTE didn't turn me off. The co-op in a Resident Evil game? To me that is worse than making Bloodborne a GAAS. It took the series down a bad path that then led to the even less interesting horseshit that is RE6. Shall we remake that one too?

It's like DMC2. RE5/6 is the DMC2 of the series.

RE5 is so good. With the updates on PC it plays like a dream.

I haven't played Code Veronica or Zero but I'd rather play the originals.

I wish they'd remaster and re-release the RE light gun games. Do it you cowards!

Because they Remade only the really good REs so far. It was nice and all but now that they (assuming RE1 isn't next) they are moving on entries that were not universally praised and a Remake could make the old one basically obsolete. And not only that, now they are also in the territory when the plot went completely offrails. Hence they could fix a lot of the writing. I'm super pumped to see where they are going next with the Remakes.

However, I sort of fear that despite all the rumours a new RE1 Remake will be next and we again will only get a Remake of a great RE entry.

It was really cool to see Code Veronica (and RE2) in then more modern RE5 level (but a bit downgraded for Wii) graphics (and cool CG scenes) in Darkside Chronicles, it will be cool to repeat that with now-modern graphics and gameplay as well in a full remake (again, just as it went down with RE2).

Good if true, my wish is 0 in actual two player co-op with more or less intact gameplay and design, I'd love to speedrun it like that with a friend.

Main thing for me is seeing this scenario done right in crazy good fidelity with the latest RE Engine, and you know the RE2/4 REmake team are going to go damn good on this.

Really can't wait for this one.

I really hope these two remakes they take their sweet time and not rush them out. Something tells me both will be getting better treatment than the RE3 remake. I hope that shit never happens again.

I never liked Resident Evil Code Veronica. For me, it was the worst Resident Evil game I've ever played.

I prefer Resident Evil Zero more.

Sounds very good so far assuming this all ends up being true. Well maybe except for the riding a bike around part unless it's done like a fast travel or in smaller areas.

I like that Steve would still flirt and is cocky with himself but looks to be done better from what they said there. A new appearance and voice would definitely make him much more likable compared to his og version. I personally didn't mind him as I was a kid when I first played the game on the PS2.

Very happy to see Wesker and thr HFC getting more screen time. I imagine we'll be encountering squads of these troops messing around throughout the story perhaps not as an actual enemy fight but definitely in cutscenes.

Code Veronica would be a good opportunity to completely rework the game. Keep the story nd environments and bring in the resident evil 4 controls. I don't think many people super nostalgic for that entry so it would be a good one to play around with.

Yeah RE CV always have the potential to be extremely good or even the best if done right. The setting, protagonist, the monster types, the antagonist, the story. They got an amazing starting kit but didn't execute it as well as RE1 to RE3.

A Remake with more work put into it could turn this into the best RE game ever.

I hope they ditch the "immersive" gameplay of RE2R/4R for the satisfying responsiveness and coolness of RE3R's arcadey mechanics.

Interesting… Hope these rumours turn out to be true. IIRC Dusk's leaks on RE3 were quite off in the end, but then again, that game felt like changed drastically late in the development.

We'll see… Semi-Open World Rockfort Island sounds dope and could be great indeed if done well.
