I really don't think so. The only way they could do the old style is if the boards are designed for it and if they're using the same boards from the Bowser Party mode then you'll definitely still be in the car.

At my Best Buy every Wii U and 3DS game was on sale in celebration of the event. I'm assuming the Wii U and various 3DS models were as well. We also got some swag. we all got a couple stickers and then had the choice between one of two pins, or the E3 lanyard.

Wii U's were being moved for sure. I saw more than a handful of people grabbing one after playing Smash.
