I try not to be too high and mighty yet I have to say Shelby doing a cigarettes with Sean and Hayes was super irresponsible. I know some sections of the country have passed law that make it "legal" but legal does not mean morally right, even for bad boys of Hollywood. And I can't believe Mia Farrow will let her daughter get away with that on a public forum.

See, this is just NOT COOL. Sean and Hayes should have at least put a trigger warning at the start of the show.

I'd post about this on the HH forums but it seems like admin approval takes a long time? Actually thinking about it, I might have registered once before and I don't remember being approved. I might be on a blacklist.

Honestly can't tell if you're joking or not.

What's going on with these Sean and Hayes CBB ads? Scott trying to drum up more interest in them? Are they really going to be on CBB?

I don't know where it's going

Were lotto tickets part of a past ep?

I'm trying to figure out why those are just lying around.

I noticed em in the pictures for a couple other episodes too but can't remember them mentioning it on-air. Maybe it's just a fun thing Sean and Hayes do with every guest.

I finally listened to the Pauly Shore episode of HH. That was rough! While Sean did an admirable job of staying in character, I felt like Hayes was breaking character out of frustration, at times just trying to tell Pauly that they are just trying to make jokes. Excellent Engineer Cody episode, with just a flawless Old School reference

That episode is so good if only for the episode that comes after it.

Going through HH is killing me. Adam Pally talking about his band where one of the members plays the vacuum is really insightful stuff.

At some point I need to go through all of HH again. It's a tricky show because they have so many disparate premises per episode that it's hard to recall which shows have bits you love, like when they rip on Cody and portray him as some sort of brain dead, slack-jaw.

I think my favorite moment is the entire engineer show. So many times where I was just bussin up. "So this is the show? They just say words? And people like this?"

My favorite HH moment might be in the Zach Gilford (who was an excellent guest who played up the Hollywood asshole actor bit) when Sean had his multiple anti-religion tirades and Hayes' reaction. I also loved Sean and Hayes' attempts to show how young and hip they are on the first Shelby Fero episode.

I have been really sour on CBB this year. The episodes are starting to feel really repetitive and similar to each other, especially since most of them have PFT, Sanz, or Lapkus as guests. Regardless of how good or bad those three are, I'm just tired of hearing them. I like that HH has only had two repeat guest so far in its entire run, as it feels more fresh (granted it has been on for a much shorter time).

I too skip Horatio Sanz episodes. I remember on the 2013(?) Tour he joined in for about 4 of the shows and he was really annoying on those too.

I think it's starting to become a victim of its own success, what with the TV show and all. I think Scott's probably getting stretched a bit thin and is having a hard time juggling work and family the show and the podcast. There have been a couple of great podcast eps this year, but overall, I'd agree that 2015 is not off to a particularly good start.

I was thinking the same thing. He's probably stretched thin creatively with having to do a podcast every week and a billion episodes of his TV show a year.

The CBB TV show's having its best season, at least.
What has PFT been up to? I feel like he's barely been on so far this year.

On top of No You Shut Up (which I need to watch) and Speakeasy (which is a good show overall and a fantastic show for putting on while doing menial work), he's hosting an earwolf show now: Spontaneanation. Hasn't been formally announced. I think the description was "wholly improvised intro AND guest" but I can't remember, and it looks like the midroll page that jumped the gun on announcing it is down.

That sounds right. Given Scott's schedule, it's natural that he'd be stretched thin and that definitely could explain why the first half of the year has been underwhelming. I also agree that there have been some great episodes (Kroll/Mulaney, the indiegogo winner episode). The show is still capable of being awesome. What I would like to see if possible is more guests from the CBB TV show coming to the podcast. Scott mentioned Ty Burrell wanted to do the podcast, which would be super interesting. I would also love to see Kid Cudi do it (which I imagine has to happen once his episodes are about to air).

I'm definitely to the point where if I see Horatio in the credits I just won't listen to the episode.
If you skip Horatio you run the risk of missing a Coco Marx "The End" or an Aaron Neville's Twelve Days of Kwanzaa though. Both incredible bits.

Thankfully the two live eps are actually pretty good, especially the second, thanks largely to Tig Notaro playing off Tom Leykis brilliantly.

Sanz's predictably horrible Kanye West thankfully didn't ruin the first ep. Lapkus and Kroll are both great in it, and Colin Hanks is always down for anything.

I actually have a question about HH - I've been going through the past episodes, listened to a few now, and I've noticed they do a segment they call the popcorn gallery. Could someone explain what this is to me? I'm not sure I understand it.

It's the Popcorn Gallery
It's a segment on Hollywood Handbook
Sean and Hayes
Let the viewers ask the questions
Not the Peanut Gallery
'Cause it's about Movies, yeah
The Movies is the reason
It's called the Popcorn Gallery
And Sean and Hayes letting
The viewers doing all the questions
yeah and now it's time for.... the Popcorn Gallery oh yeah!

I have a big favor to ask. Would you please note the guests when they totally rip on the engineers for a segment? It's amazing to watch the growth of Cody from punchline to him on air and playing along. I miss those key moments when they were insulting him, his family, and his appearance.

Was Tig on some kind of horse tranquilizer? She completely sucked the energy out of the room every time she spoke. I felt bad for Lapkus and friends, they couldn't get anything off the ground before Tig would shut it down.

That's just Tig. And I thought it was great.

Adomian actually works really well against that type of person - like when he was doing Dov Charney opposite Nathan Fielder, who has a similarly surly persona.

And I loved it when Tig chastised them for using the word bunnies instead of rabbits.

In other news, NEW PFT PODCAST!

What do you call it when someone comments on something? The make a comment from? The peanut gallery. And since this show is about movies, what do you eat at movies? You eat .. popcorn! So this is the popcorn gallery.
