The question is if difficulty is adjusted accordingly or if the challenge remains the same.

Also, lots of questions if it's more of the same or at least something new around the dungeon design.

Personally I didn't get the DLC based on reviews of folks whose opinions I trust.
 
It's its slow season yes. Wouldn't ne my focus to play if there is other stuff coming up but I would definitely play it.

So more of same with what looks like same design. I would rather wait for proper sequel vs cash grab.

There are too many other great games are out there I haven't gotten to and are going to be out next year.
 
FromSoft Souls / EldenRing overstayed its welcome. I'm feeling fatigue. For me it went from something unique to something annual. Not very exciting.
 
The combat in From games are good but it's really not my favorite part of these games. I like the exploration and the constant sense of danger/high stakes.

Having my progress gate keeped by a hard boss that requires an hour plus to memorize the patterns/animations to beat is something I put up with because the other content is so good, but not something I enjoy. It's weird cause usually I best the bosses on the 1st-2nd try but sometimes I get stumped and it takes dozens of tries.

This game seems to have the type of content I don't really care for rather than what I like, so I'll be passing.

Re-rewatched the reveal trailer earlier and this actually looks really good IMO. Quick 30-60 minute From sessions 3 player co-op ultra focused? Sounds great to me.

Would seem to be a great go-to online game for me.
 
In general I really dislike the game principle with the shrinking maps.

But since it's From Software I'll not completely write it off, yet, and decide when I've seen more of it.

No. I skipped the dlc and I will skip this. I am kinda sick of elden ring as of now.
I preferred Dark Souls game structure for replayability

Yes, it sounds fun as fuck. From deserve the benefit of the doubt, their pricing is sublime for what they deliver, and this is something totally unique even amongst other Roguelikes. So yes, Day One.

Its not a Battle Royale…Stop feeding the idiots. It has the 'ring closing in' AT NIGHT thats where the similarities end. The game is a Roguelike, Co-op focused, not PvP….

seems like MH, cool, more MH with different theme and feels are better for me
 
Probably.
Me and a couple of friends are always looking for new Co-op stuff.

We've been going through Monster Hunter World this year, so this looks like it might be a fun next game to tackle. One of them is still on PS4 too so our options are kinda limited
 
It won't be full priced, and it's in the ER universe. Of course I'll buy it. I respect that it's something new that they haven't done across the board. I just hope I enjoy it and it lands hard. I feel like it will. It's hard to ever doubt them.
 
Didn't buy the dlc in the end, i have even less interest in this. It's obviously a way to milk the game one last time. I don't even know to which extent the leads at FS are working on it.
 
When is the release date again?

I'm doing a From marathon and just completed DS1. I don't want to get spoiled a boss fight in the earlier games when they appear in Nightreign.
 
I'm worn out on elden ring. Between the base game and the dlc i'm done with it and don't want anymore of it.

Yeah I'll buy it day 1. Might even preorder if there's a bonus emote of something. I love the idea and really wanted them to have a side mode in elden ring (like BB chalices or sekiros gauntlet).

The only thing I'm concerned about is the balance regarding solo play. Don't really care for playing coop in these games.

edit : the mods on PC will probably be pretty cool as well

Not announced yet, just "2025". You'll likely have a 3-4month (give or take) gap from when the beta/network test concludes. Initial sign ups for that are in mid January.
 
No. Honestly this seems like pure cash-grab bullshit. Pretty gross, has been my first impressions.
 
Definitely day 1. They'll enhance characters with new abilities and the bosses will be a mix of classic bosses or all new ones.

I'm thinking we won't see the new From Software game for another 4-5 years.
