Yes, would play. Focused action adventure game is what I would like to see. People, even after getting so many open world games, keep asking for more. We don't get tightly focused linear adventures anymore and not saying this will be that, but if it is a stand alone action adventure game, I hope it is more focused.

No, I've already started to get tired of their formula, to be honest. Plus I didn't really like Elden Ring, from my point of view it's much weaker than other games in the Solus series and frankly poorly balanced. Well, and I basically don't want to support the trend in the industry when a developer takes existing assets, dumps them on one big map and offers to buy it. Because the industry works on the principle - "Oh, they did it, it's cheap and fast, let's all do it like that" and that's just not enough for me to be completely happy, against the background of endless remakes...

2. How good does solo/pug work? I expect PUG to be a shitshow, so I will probably not buy it. Solo will probably be pretty lame, I imagine modded Elden Ring to be genuinely more fun (because more areas)

I was absolutely blown away when I watched the trailer for the first time, because it was pure and total sensory and fan service overload, so I loved it. But after reading 2 previews and now knowing what to expect, this is going to be a miss. For a lot of people too, I predict. It doesn't has the depth of a Monster Hunter to keep people playing for MP, nor does it have the depth of a Dead Cells to keep people in for the Roguelike elements. It's basically a glorified multiplayer bossrush, which is about as lame as I can imagine.

I'm honestly disappointed they're doing this. It's great that Miyazaki wants his team to cook, but this is just wasting ressources that could be spent anywhere better, even if it's Dark Souls 2 2.

I would be absolutely thrilled to be wrong about all this and have Nightreign be my GOTY 2025.

As I aleady said in the later thread, I'm still dissapointed with the DLC take.
Also I wasn't even clear what this version of Elden Ring was about. Was it a battle arena? Mmo? Survival multiplayer? Very clear lack of explanation about this version.

Which honestly is freaking sad to me and breaks my heat. Elden Ring is still my 10/10 game, I love it pretty much like most of Fromsoftware games. The DLC though I think it's the lowest From ever gave to me and quite frankly I kinda regret it buying on first day. So I will remain playing the base game as usual and see From on their next project.

Nah. Dark Souls is probably my favorite game of all time but I'm completely burnt out on the Souls formula at this point. They've beaten it to death in my opinion and Elden Ring had a lot of elements I thought were From at their most obnoxious.

Next From game for me is Armored Core 6 since I haven't gotten around to it yet.
