The switch to will always be home to these pathetic hand-me-down ports, you might as well stick to whatever is made exclusively by Nintendo as most of the third party Giants will miss the platform or you will get sloppy thirds
This!. This I expect trash third party ports and if it doesn't run good devs will blame it on the hardware. I don't see third party devs pushing it to its full capacity the same way they don't do it with PC and Console. Poor optimized third party ports seem to be the future.

What makes you think it will have less support?
For third party triple AAA a lot of devs won't support. Chinese developers seem to like PC and PlayStation. Harada was pretty much saying the hardware is inferior to make a port for Tekken.

if it sells like crazy it'll have all the third party support it wants, just the quality may vary...

For the Nintendo enjoyers here: you'll probably be able to buy a new Valve "console" in a bit of time for less than a S2 costs, it runs the game just as well as a base PS5 (or better) and you know what, the game doesn't cost 80 but maybe like 30 from a key seller. That's of course if you aren't one of the 1% of the userbase who actually uses the turd in handheld mode

But a lot of AAA games skipped Switch, and that never got Tekken either.

the GPU performance of the Switch 2 in handheld mode is roughly between the Xbox One and PS4 (more Xbox One than PS4 probabl). so it is what I would expect, sub PS4 performance.
Nah, better than PS4 by a mile. It's 1.7 Ampere TFLOPS, From is likely just inept as fuck at managing the memory bandwidth.

1.7 ampere tflops shouod be around the ballpark of 1.3~1.4 GCN tflops... so that brings it absolutely more in line with the Xbox One.
don't forget the flopflation that happened with Nvidia's dual issue FP32 implementation.

What? That makes no sense, the 1650 is Turing (2000 series) and 3 TFLOPS. It fights off the Series S at some workloads even without the superior SM allocation and dual math capabilities of Ampere.

I have not seen any detailed comparisons between these, but I highly doubt that's accurate, especially in well made ports.

From Software are a bunch of incompetent idiots when it comes to technical aspect.
ALL their games are unoptimized poop that lack essential features like games were released 20 years ago.

What are you on about? S2 will sell at least 100m units. If a dev can make the game run on that device, they will, unless they do not like money.

Blaming their dumpster fire engine for that more than the switch. They make great games and have great artists but that engine is crap.

I expect the switch 2 to have less third party support then switch 1. Can't even imagine a game like monster hunter wilds or dragons dogma how attrocious it would be.
sure jan

can't wait for the eventual port of wilds to the switch 2 in 2026. People think the switch 2 can't do anything, it's a 3TF console with better CPU/ram than a ps4 pro. It can give you ps4+ visuals.
