Oh FFS first I was mocked for a 24 inch monitor and now my 42 inch TV
I’m buying a 65 inch tv soon but even that’ll probably be laughed at
Nah 65" is a good size. My wife has never complained.

Why does it feel artificial?Well done to FromSoft. If this really does deliver as positive an experience as the reviews suggest, then wow.
Though I must say the 97/100 feels weirdly artificial to me. I can't help but feel as though some of the scores are just the journos trying to keep their cred.
I am very excited to play!
”And the winner of the Game Of The Year award goes to…”
Poor Guerrilla, Bethesda, Sony Santa Monica, Nintendo(?)
It's no surprise that some PC players are pickier than others. I guess that could be said with anyone out there in general. That being said, with PC there are SO many different combinations of specs that some folks are bound to experience some bizarre stuff that the majority may not.RPS says PC version is fine. And they are PC people. Weird.

yeah, i get what you mean. It's not the specific score I'm focused on.
It's that games media entire structure is to prop up FOMO games (games that make the bulk of their profits in the first week) from publishers that draw traffic.
Elden Ring may be a GotY quality game. I'm not going to find out until about 1 - 6 months after release when information from more balanced sources starts overtaking the conversation.
Right now, 130 Greg Millers are yelling "buy this game!" and the superfans are eating it up.
Again, Elden Ring may indeed be an amazing game.
This place goes bananas when conferences hit.

I don't really get the "God" part or "mystery" part but......sure?From games are overhyped because of the fantastic art design and interesting Lore. I've yet to have literally anyone tell me whats special from a gameplay, A.I or story perspective. So you are not alone.
So "God works in mysterious ways" basically.
So you can over level? Meaning grind trash mobs get OP to fight bosses to make battles easier?SkillUp says he one shotted a lot of bosses because the side stuff give good rewards.
Looks like Ragnarok and BOTW 2 just lost their GOTY chances
You missed the . but still pretty good.Nah 65" is a good size. My wife has never complained.
Reviewers are saying it is easier to get into, but by no means an easy game. Still has that challenge pedigree the games are known for.
I'm not disagreeing, but I personally feel the frame pacing issues were only truly severe on Bloodborne. I also didn't feel Sekiro and DS3 were "broken" when I played through them on ps4pro, though I'm not denying they had performance issues.Yes, but they never fixed frame pacing issues for example. They also left Sekiro and PS4Pro version of DS3 in broken state with unlocked/stuttery framerate until PS5 BC fixed this years later by brute force...
Ya, Sekiro did run well. I recently did a playthrough of DS3 just a few days ago and it ran super well other than me having to hex-edit in Ultrawide Support. I really hope it runs great on PC. I just want to experience the adventure.Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro ran very well on PC..I played Sekiro on launch day on PC and I can't remember it ever getting a patch during my playthrough. still ran like a dream at 1440p60 max settings on a GTX1070 and a Ryzen 2600
Probably what they flagged in their early beta video, that you can play the PS4 Pro version of the game on a PS5 at locked 1440p 60fps with the middle road settings. No such luck on Xbox where smart delivery prevents this.
You've always been able to do that in any FS Souls' game.So you can over level? Meaning grind trash mobs get OP to fight bosses to make battles easier?
From never creat smooth games… and they never fix their framerate issues either.Just seen an early comparison vid and whilst the PS5 version hovers around the high 50’s to 60 fps in performance mode, the Series X seems to hover quite a bit in the 40’s. Obviously, it’s an open world game, but it’ll be interesting to see what DF make of it all.
I watched the IGN video review, which was apparently the PC version, and that didn’t look particularly smooth tbh.
Unless Kojima releases a game before thenSo... From are gonna win the GOTY at the Geoff's. That's obvious.
Yeah enemies leveling with you suck. You've always been able to do that in any FS Souls' game.

For people that want to look at an early comparison of all versions -
PS5 version runs the best in the 55-60fps range most of the time.
None of the modes are locked though, including the 30fps quality modes, which is pretty weird and shit really.. And even the best version in PS5 can be anywhere from 50-60fps. Series S hovers around 50fps, and XSX version sems to be in the 40-50fps range, and actually performs worse than the S version.
I dont really think any of the console versions are very good in any mode. I just hope my Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro luck keeps going and i can get a locked 60fps on my PC.
Not very impressive though from From, yet again.
The PS5 version is the one to get out of the consoles though.
Rdr2 has terrible input lag and it's clunky, it's crazy how a game with basic control problems has such high scores. Journalists are not reliable at all.
smart delivery
It looks like another case when press overhypes themselves long before the reviews so they are just giving perfect scores by inertia. Similar to BOTW and RDR2, where in reality both games are far from their MC aggregate.Well done to FromSoft. If this really does deliver as positive an experience as the reviews suggest, then wow.

I adore RDR2 and still play it till this day.
its pretty obvious its going to win everywhere.So... From are gonna win the GOTY at the Geoff's. That's obvious.
