Has anyone managed to get VAC voice control software fully working with Elite? I can get basic functions like gear up/down working perfectly, but just can't seem to do things like full power to shields or engines.
If it's anything like Voice Attack, you'll probably need to assign a secondary assignment to w/e joystick command (or KB) command you use to actually hit left/right/up/down to assign pips (that's what you're talking about right, the little dots under the big 3 system bars?). By secondary command, I mean in Voice Attack, you can't assign "joystick" presses, I use an X55, so I have to secondary assign a Keyboard key. If you are using the KB in conjunction with something it may already be assigned to an actual key.
I messed around with it and found it's just easier for me to do it manually with my thumb HAT on my stick. But basically, it's 4 no matter how many are there and you need to have it as a sequence. Kind of like programming a docking request (greatest thing ever).
But I'm not familiar with VAC or if it's similar to VA, but if you can program multiple presses/pauses and such, it shouldn't be a problem, just find out which button is actually being pressed for menu driven actions while in flight mode.
I believe it's "Power Management" or something.
EDIT: Here we go
Under Miscellaneous, the "Divert Power to ____". You need to make sure it's multiple presses though, one for each PIP, so the macro should be UUUU or DDDD or LLLL or RRRR, not sure about a pause in there but a .1 should work if needed.
