Well now that Sanford is there, WNF vs NLBC will definitely happen. As much crap as we give him, he has the best chance of taking out Snake Eyez.

That's not much of a secret lol. Every top player has some tech to reveal at EVO.

But 99% of them are full of it. I've been hating on his Evil Ryu as of late so he has to convince me it's not as boring and weak as it looks in those replays.

Apologyman and also Rubeks are Skrull players to watch out for, they're both competent enough to reach top 8 but since Marvel is so random anything can happen, expect them to place high though. Rubeks placed 3rd at CEO a couple weeks ago and Apologyman took 2nd at Curleh Norcal a couple days ago.

We won't know till tomorrow LOL, for all we know there is Nobi under some American name too in the bracket somewhere haha.

Whoa, Korean players entering secretly? Or maybe last minute after hearing about Namco's pot bonus. Haha.

I have a feeling Daigo will switch to Ryu if he runs into a rushdown heavy character like Cammy or Yun. He might try E.Ryu the first match but if he loses, I think he will switch.

Gonna miss all of Tekken tomorrow due to work :(

and wow at potential Korean and japanese players last minute signups.

I'm guessing some players are going to have quite a shock ;p

He also has a Yun which he refuses to use. As long as he doesn't run into a very small amount of certain people, he can win with only Ryu.

LLND will be there but I don't think he's top 32 material. I wonder if Senor Taxi will go. It doesn't matter because Justin will win it all.

Daigo is going to struggle with E.Ryu and go full YUN.

then when he's in losers about to be bopped, he will switch to RYU, but the damage has been done.

but he is not sad.

he gives a smile, gets up and walks calmly to his seat.

then he thinks of the old days, and silently congratulates himself for making it this far. a blue hue on his face.

I predict Kazunoko to win the whole thing. His style is ruthless, he is the #1 utilizer of the unquestioned best character. I've never seen such successful disrespectful play from any other Yun player.

America has no Feis or Yuns to stop this KazuYun either.

Be sure to check out Tekken Casino, that's going to be grandeur! Thanks to Doomshine for showing me:

They have fuertes though.

Dogura will be there and Dogura is his kryptonite. If he doesn't run into him, he'll be fine.

I hope Kazunoko or Infiltration win it (or obviously fan favs like smug etc) over team MCZ and team EG any day. If there is a team EG top 4 or team MCZ top 4 I'll be sad..

Kazunoko was a big pick for me last year until Infiltration just obliterated him with his Ryu out of nowhere. :( It's really hard to judge SF4 this year, which is awesome in my opinion. I'm ready to see some blowups.

Kaz is not invincible. There are well over a dozen people who are able to take him out. But Dogura is the single biggest one based on Japanese tournaments. Dogura always blows him up even when Yun was at his best in regular AE.

Calling it now, there will be no EG in top 8 for sf

Depends on the draw (surely at least one of them will have an easier path?), but that is quite possible.

I don't rate Kazunoko too highly, as per his results in things like Topanga. But in Ultra with shorter matches? He certainly is a much bigger chance.

Do you think that he'd switch back to Bison against Kazunoko or stick to Rolento?

He said he wasn't going to switch in that 4Gamer interview, no idea if he'll stick to his word but if the last couple of years are anything to go by then he probably will. Going by his arcade points, he is fully committed to Evil Ryu. He has only played Ryu twice in the past 2 months at the arcades and has over 2200 matches with Evil Ryu(385 with Ryu).

As for those match ups, I think Evil Ryu does better against Cammy than Ryu does. Against Yun I think they're about the same against him. Looking at the cast as a whole, their really isn't any match ups that Ryu does much better than Evil Ryu in. Honestly I see no reason to switch unless he really think he needs faster normals for up close footsie battles which is the biggest thing Ryu has over Evil Ryu.

Also the "Daigo's ERyu sucks" thing here in GAF feels like I'm missing some backstory or context.

At casual glance, his Eryu was the top of Japan's point rankings.

I'll let the cat out of the bag. He has some tech to unleash. No better time than EVO. Oh and he's going to have people filming him for a documentary.

He'd better have something better than the subpar Evil Ryu we've seen a few times..

...like a better Evil Ryu.

There most likely just hasn't been enough footage.. And the footage we've seen was kind of underwhelming
