My friend called me yesterday to say I left her hanging. Which is true, but I had forgotten. We started watching Lord of the Rings together a few months ago and then never watched the last one. It probably doesn't help that Two Towers is far and away my favorite of the trilogy.

Catch up on the previous hobbies that I bailed on, try to spend more time with friends, lose weight, help my group finish the monster AI on this video game, possibly take up photography, etc.
I think I was able to locate the main source of my anxiety in my loneliness, the lack of a partner is devouring me from the inside. I'm running low on energy despite eating well, years ago I would use tough days to channel my frustration into a good workout. Nowadays I can't even focus on simply reviewing my study material...I don't know what to do anymore and the environment I returned to doesn't help me either.

I would have agreed with you in the primary (well of the general sentiment not the specifics) but I think this is the wrong point and time for that sentiment now that it's Hillary vs trump for America.
There's definitely a ton of condescension both ways and it really turned me off with group for decent portions of time. (Ironically using incredibly similar language and advocating for the exact same things)
You probably would have done better tho if you just limited it to uk politics since you're more familiar with that and the situation isn't exactly the same

It's always apparently the wrong time though. Whoever the Republicans nominate next time will still be insane, and it'll be another thing of "VOTE DEMOCRAT BECAUSE THE REPUBLICANS ARE TOO BAD" and it will keep happening.
On the keeping to UK politics, yeah probably, the examples I used were the first ones that came to mind though.

It will always be the wrong time because we can't afford to take risks during election time. The consequences would be catastrophic for the oppressed.
It needs to start with legislation changing the process. Hillary is already pushing for repealing citizens United which is one step. People need to be loud and bring issues to the attention of politicians (see black lives matter). Experimenting with third party candidates during elections just isn't the way to handle it.

I'm not saying it's a big deal or anything. It's just very different in tone from anything Nintendo would touch just a few years later. 1990's Nintendo (and as you noted, 1990's advertising in general) was certainly something.
So yes, secretly I just wanted to discuss 1990's Nintendo ads. I have no agenda, but it's such a different era from now, it seems like it comes from a time further away than a mere 17 years ago. Certain GBA SP ads, "Touching is Good", and the word "edgier" in a Nintendo E3 2003 presentation are even more recent and had a similar vibe.
My dad and I have a somewhat complicated relationship. We actually don't have much of one at all. I haven't seen him in years and I only finally accepted him on FB against my better judgement (and have mostly regretted it since). He made plenty of mistakes which led to us being estranged but the biggest is that he's simply unpleasant to be around, relentlessly negative and dour. I have a hell of a lot more reasons to be bleak than he does but I recognize if I am, I won't have any friends. I have amazing ones. And he doesn't.
Having figured out that I'm not going to come over and visit him of my own free will, he sent me a PM today, saying that my birthday gift is available but I'll have to come over and get it (and then admits that he's basically blackmailing me). I'm actually more surprised that some people will still buy PS2-compatible PS3's, since those are pretty much guaranteed to die pretty soon if they haven't already and not even a reball is a permanent fix.
As nice as those beasts are, it's too risky.
I'm not quite sure why it is, but the GameCube component cable is far superior to the Wii component cable. Given that it's a digital output port on early GC's as opposed to purely analogue output like on Wii, maybe there's a DAC built into the cable. It would need one if it's really a digital output since component video is analogue.
Is there any difference between the official Nintendo ones and third party? I don't have a GC anymore so there's no reason for me to keep them but I can't seem to pull the trigger and sell them, hmm
I have a launch PS3. The 20GB model actually, which is pretty rare (upgraded the HD tho). I had it reballed and had a new fan put in which is louder than the original but keeps it pretty cool. I had to ship it to Florida and it took a while but I couldn't let it die. A system that can play PS1, 2, and 3 games is too awesome
