Which I would normally agree with, except there was no console command option for getting rid of the HUD in FC2
I was more or less implying that if it was in the debug, they probably wouldn't have noticed.

Far Cry 3 map editor allows for land sharks...
Ubisoft, you magnificent bastards.
I'm watching the 45 minutes of PS3 footage posted earlier in the thread and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it's performance. Yeah, it's got tearing, pop-in, and framerate dips, but at this point that's par for the course for a new open-world game running on six year-old hardware. Dragon's Dogma and AC3 both had those as well, and at this point I think expecting a flawless 30fps experience from a sandbox game is setting yourself up for disappointment.

Holy shit that is awesome :OI don't know if you can actually design missions within it, but you can drop hostile AI enemies and wildlife into your map.
You can also drop friendly AI mercenaries. You can basically design your own sand box to screw around in.

Whaa! You can add AI to the maps now? You couldn't do that in FC2 right?I don't know if you can actually design missions within it, but you can drop hostile AI enemies and wildlife into your map.

Wow, I didn't expect these scores. Too bad there's no Giant Bomb QL probably for this entire week.
Reviews look pretty amazing. After Halo 4 and CoDBOII got harsh criticism, Far Cry 3 looks pretty legit.

45 min of PS3 footage. OPM calls it the best looking Open world game on the PS3. Hyped!

Damn, which console to play this on?
was farcry 2 better on xbox 360?
I'm really hyped for this.

Yes, I can now recreate Jungle from GoldenEye 64!
The extensive map editor, which allows for terrain deformation, the addition of wildlife (including sharks that swim on land, angry tigers), and custom-created objects, presents the chance to make something better.
