I've been busy working my ass off all day, not able to check news, and my coworker runs up to me, "HEY! DID YOU HEAR? HILLARY IS DONE! FBI reopened her email case and found some stuff1!1!" Me: "Greatttt. What'd they find?" Him: "I don't know! Something major!" Me: " .....How the fuck do you know?" Him: "Its all over every news channel!!!!!!"

What's fucking stupid is making what I would call "extremely careless" statements about emails that may or may not have anything to do with a completed investigation that may or may not be combed through by Nov 8th.

It's really quite hard to take this as non-partisan when there's really no reason for this statement to have been made. He's only required to make a statement when he's come across new evidence, not when he THINKS he MAY have come across something but doesn't even know the extent of what they have.
 
That was short and sweet. Not sure what else she can say since the FBI isn't being forthcoming with what they think they have.

My co-worker said something similar like "Did you hear that they are re-opening the Hillary email thing again?". Thank god I'm going on vacation next week as I am that Sylvester.gif
 
I've seen people claiming that none of these emails are from Hillary. Where are they reading that? I read an article on USA Today that said that they had thousands of Huma's sent and received emails that they had previously not reviewed. Huma likely had many emails from Hillary herself.

My guess is that they've found material that at a cursory glance is top secret that was not in the material they'd seen already -- part of the 33k emails Hillary's team deleted after receiving the congressional subpoena. Comey is afraid it'll be leaked by Wikileaks or some other party, so he's been forced to cover his bases by releasing the information related to the investigation even though the timing is strange -- 11 days before the election.
 
Good on Clinton for speaking on the matter. Huma needs to fall on her sword and resign. Letting shady af Tony Weiner use the same device that she might use to communicate with the Secretary of State is a bit stupid.

Agreed. It was reckless for Comey to release such a vague as shit statement and nothing concrete. It's a real life "THERE MIGHT BE SOMETHING THERE!!" Meme.

Welcome to mainstream media coverage where it's all about ratings. They sensationalize absolutely everything.

Today's stories about the FBI investigation later followed up by a new Trump video just further demonstrate how ugly political life can be, but the reactions sure do make for decent entertainment, almost like watching a Game of Thrones reaction video.

No, they don't even know what's in many of these emails. Sources have confirmed to several media outlets that so far, nothing classified has been found in them.

And like Hillary just said, they aren't even saying anything, just a vague letter. The Weiner info was something reported by the media, not the FBI.
 
There goes Trump's main argument that everything is rigged against him until, of course, the FBI once again concludes there's nothing there. Then it's back to being rigged or double rigged.

Except people here can operate on nuance and understand that choices aren't binary. He was being partisan hack in that press conference in addition to doing his job by clearing Clinton.

As others have noted that press conference was him throwing a bone to the republicans because he failed to find anything wrong. People aren't indicting him on his actions, but rather his statements.

Where on Earth did you hear this? I thought it was: the FBI director, who is a Republican and gave an unusual press conference badmouthing Clinton, still couldn't even recommend prosecution.

Looks to me like he sent it to committee chairpersons, who are Republicans due to house rules. That was his job, if the chairpersons were Dems he'd have sent it to them. There's no 'fuck off' involved here.
 
The common public won't even see any resolution to this at all. All they'll remember was that the case was reopened 'for some reason'.

Hillary needs to save a baby from a burning building or something to get a new headline out there that people will spread without reading details on. Can't the press just spread some clickbait headline with a fictional heroic story told through 3/4's of it, then the last paragraph basically say "nah just kidding lol" - a lot of people would never read that far down.

As a White male these things don't really affect me much either when it comes down to it. I could take that line of thinking, but, I realize these things do directly change the lives of others so that causes me to care a bit more than I would if I only thought of myself.

I'm glad they did that, as it was legitimately a disgusting moment for Trump and one that should reflect on him as a horrible candidate. This email nonsense is a non-story meant to add "omg excitement!" to the final days leading up to the election.

Nightly News cycle is throwing this on Clinton despite not really being connected to it but all the public was the headline and nothing else and now this.

Ugh.
 
Hmmm. The thing here might be huma being aware of weiner sending texts to an underage and Clinton potentially helping cover up.

Speculation, but I have no idea why the fbi would be investigating unless it's something along these lines.

Hopefully that isn't what the deal is.
