February Wrasslin' |OT| Observe THIS, Brother!

So I saw that Katsiaryna Kavaleva is a part of the current tryouts WWE is having as rumored a couple months ago. If they sign her and she takes to training she'll be a complete monster in the women's division in a couple years due to her being 6'5" which I'm assuming is her legit height which of course means they'd probably try to bill her as 6'7" if they can seeing as she's taller than most of the male roster too. Plus she's "marketable".

I got to get my smark cred up

GWF is still a thing?
Join Sephzilla's wrassle league to be eligible for the Power Rankings:

Ladies and Gentlemen, the GAF WRESTLING FEDERATION is back!

What is the GWF?
WrassleGAF members compete in simulated matches in WWE 2k17. It's a fake wrestling, only faker. It's purely for fun and something we can all laugh about.

How do I enter?
Send me, Sephzilla, a PM with the following information. Then I will create a wrestler NeoGAF Sports Entertainer in game for you. Just be warned that I might take a few creative liberties with your appearance and entrance. Also, I'm going to try to keep movesets mostly simply (aka, mostly movesets of existing wrestlers), because otherwise it will take an eternity to make everyone.
-- Who's your favorite wrestler. This will help me determine what your wrestler's move set will be. I'd probably prefer if you name an active one though. Preferably a WWE one too. Just because it makes assigning moves easier for me. But if you hate making it easy for me, name some obscure guy.
-- What is your finishing move?
-- Do you want to be a face (good guy) or heel (bad guy)? Note: This can change over time
-- What is your GAF avatar? This will help with what your appearance will be
-- Any other miscellaneous information you want included, like if you want to tag team with someone

Is anything else involved?
Beyond entering? No. Just show up to watch! Maybe have some fun little smack talk too.

Where will we be able to watch this?
On Twitch : https://www.twitch.tv/sephzilla
There will likely be Youtube archives as well

Can I tune in even if I'm not in it?
Absolutely. We need to see who's actually a draw around here!

When will we be able to watch this?
I'm tentatively planning on this being a once a month event type deal. Doing it weekly might ruin the novelty of it, plus there's already enough weekly wrestling to watch. I'll let you know when the first GWF show will happen and then we'll go from there.

How are matches/booking determined?
Any joking smack talk between GAF members could provoke a match at a GWF Special Event! I don't have influence over how WWE 2k17's shitty AI works, so the winner/losers are random and unpredictable.

Misc. Information
I'm probably going to cap the size of GWF to 20 or so people, at least for now, because if it gets too big it might get hard to manage. I'm going to take overflow entrants though, so fear not. Also, I don't mean to sound exclusive, but I'm probably going to give preference towards WrassleGAF members who post more frequently versus lurkers when it comes to making the roster. Consider that incentive to post more! We're good people!

Should I take this stuff seriously?
No, this is for fun!

Help me out real quick amigos, today the vip sessions for axxess go on sale and I'm trying to get the dean ambrose one specifically for my girlfriend as a birthday present and I really don't want to botch this. If someone can give me the correct link so at 10 I can access it immediately I'd appreciate it.

Oh shit, didn't even realize NJPW had big shows this weekend and next. And Elimination Chamber, which is good. As good as REVII is I'm getting mighty impatient about waiting for Zelda to drop and wrasllin helps to pass the time.

Anyone? I don't see the 3pm one on ticket master since I'm going off of this. https://www.google.com/amp/www.wwe....xess-tickets?client=ms-android-hms-tmobile-us

New Beginning should be an awesome show.

I'm surprised people kind of shit on Omega saying he wanted to elevate wrestling above carny status by trying to express more emotion.

I'm a carny cunt for life and don't really mind, but I wouldn't shit on him or anyone else wanting to elevate things. He can do it too, if people go watch the stuff he did in DDT with Ibushi, which is where it seems things are heading again now.

For the first time ever, one of ICW's major shows (Square Go, Barramania, Shug's Hoose Party, Fear & Loathing) goes outside Scotland, as Newcastle hosts the Square Go tomorrow.

ICW Zero-G Championship #1 Contenders Match: Andy Wild vs Lewis Girvan
With Kenny Williams in the form of his career since finally defeating Lionheart at Fear & Loathing IX to win the Zero-G title, a four man tournament was created to determine a new number one contender. After a controversial finish at the last Fight Club show, Andy Wild and the best young wrestler Lewis Girvan was fight once again to earn the title shot, most likely at April's Barramania. The winner will also gain entry into the Square Go match.

Andy Wild defeated Nathan Cruz while Girvan defeated Chris Ridgeway. The initial match between the two saw Wild pin Girvan for 3 while simultaneously tapping out to Girvan's submission. Lewis Girvan is poised to make 2017 his year, after ending 2016 with an impressive victory against Ricochet at the Hydro. Can the best young wrestler take his next step forward to ICW greatness, or will the veteran Wild prove that the best young wrestler isn't the best yet.

ICW Zero-G Championship: Kenny Williams (c) vs Ricochet
This has the potential to be a fantastic match as Kenny Williams aims to defend his title against one of the best high flyers going today in Ricochet. This will be Ricochet's 3rd match in ICW, with one victory and one defeat, and he looks to add another accolade to his impressive career. After the tournament final between Girvan and Wild saw an inconclusive finish, the fighting champion Williams was ready to take them both on in a triple threat. The Bollocks had taken to inserting himself into various matches in ICW Fight Club shows, offering a title shot to anyone who could pin him. He was successful in all these challenges, making it look as if he had no challenger for the Square Go.

However, Mark Dallas had plans in motion. After announcing the tournament final to be fought again for a decisive winner, he had found an alternative challenger for the Square Go. The day before Fear & Loathing at the Hydro saw Ricochet pin Kenny Williams in a fatal four way with BT Gun and Stevie Boy, making him the last person to pin Williams since he became champion. This made him the perfect challenger for the Square Go. Expect a fast paced high flying match that could very well steal the show.

ICW Women's Championship: Kay Lee Ray (c) vs Kasey
Kay Lee Ray is perhaps the best womens wrestler in the UK, finally claiming the women's championship at Fear & Loathing, defeating Viper and the former champion Carmel. Since then Kay Lee Ray has successfully defended the title agaisnt Viper and the 'Session Moth' Martina, before going to Japan where the title was defended for the first time outside of the UK. Kasey is on a mission to prove herself as a top singles competitor, initially breaking into ICW with her twin sister Leah. This will prove an interesting fight, and with these two involved, there is a chance it will be the most violent show of the night. Keep an eye out for Kasey though, as she may very well cause an upset here.

ICW Tag Team Championship: Polo Promotions (c) vs Bird & Boar
Polo Promotions have been the dominant force in Tag Team wrestling at ICW. The three time champion pairing of Jackie Polo and Mark Coffey have beaten everyone there is no beat in ICW. Even the Dudley Boys could not bring them down, succumbing to Jackie Polo's trademark scoop slam. The champions had teased another departure due to the lack of competition. Bird & Boar had other ideas.

The vicious Welshman attacked the champions, leaving them dead on the ground, proclaiming their intentions. The first match between these two saw Mark Coffey suffer a concussion that saw the match abruptly halted by officials. This only enraged Bird & Boar further, prompting things to ugly between the two teams. Jackie Polo seeked revenge on the duo following Mark Coffey's injury, receiving back up from Mark's brother Joe Coffey at the last Fight Club. It is unknown what condition Mark Coffey is in, but it looks like Joe will stepping in for his brother if need be. Bird & Boar are a well rounded big man and little man tag team, and will be looking to add insult to injury by defeating Polo Promotions.

ICW World Heavyweight Championship: Wolfgang (c) vs Trent Seven
For the third time, these two men will face off against each other. Wolfgang holds 2 victories over Trent Seven.

The first encounter was at Fear & Loathing at the Hydro, where the largest Trent Seven Army witness the two face off in a steel cage. Things did not go Trent Seven's way however, as his use of Wolfgang's brass knucks caused the champion to crash onto tables outside, giving him the victory. Trent would recover from this mistake, however, defeating Chris Renfrew to once again be number one's contender. With no stipulation in this bout, Seven must learn from his mistakes if e wants to become champion.

The two faced off against each other in the quarter finals of the WWE UK title tournament, in which Wolfgang did indeed defeat Seven, before being eliminated by Seven's Moustache Mountain parter, Tyler Bate. It looks as though Wolfie has Trent's number, but it's all to play for in the third and perhaps the last chance for Trent Seven.

[The Square Go Match
And finally, we have the Square Go match. A belter of a gimmick match that would make Vince Russo proud. The Square Go sees a combination of the Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank. Two wrestlers will start off in the ring, and a new wrestler will appear after a set interval until all men have entered. Eliminations are over the top rope and the winner will receive a contract for a World Heavyweight Championship shot at any time of their choosing. To add to matters, randomly selected wrestlers will be allowed to introduce weapons into the match as well. The card for this Square Go is seriously stacked, with major names and many potential winners. The former winners of the Square Go are Red Lighting, Mikey Whiplash, Chris Renfrew, Dickie Divers and Wolfgang. The last three winners were all from the New Age Kliq faction at the time of their victories, showing why they are considered a cornerstone of ICW. The match will also contain some heated rivalries between competitors, so look out when Jack Jester and Galloway finally collide after Jester gave ICW the victory against the Black Label.

The confirmed entrants are:
  • Lionheart (confirmed number 1 entrant after losing to Joe Hendry).
  • BT Gunn (feuding with Stevie Boy)
  • Drew Galloway (feuding with Jack Jester)
  • Kid Fite (feuding with Sha Samuels)
  • Joe Coffey
  • Stevie Boy
  • DCT (feuding with Davey Blaze)
  • Johnny Moss
  • Joe Hendry
  • Christopher Saynt
  • James Scott
  • Iestyn Rees
  • Aaron Echo
  • Jimmy Havoc
  • Grado
  • Davey Blaze
  • Jack Jester
  • Sha Samuels
  • Ravie Davie
Chris Renfrew was scheduled to take part, but has since fallen ill and cannot compete. The winner of the Andy Wild vs Lewis Girvan will also find themselves in the Square Go. While not officially announced, Flex Hunter, Charlie Sterling, Liam Thompson, Chris Ridgeway and Zack Gibson were all part of the obligatory massive brawl before the Square Go, indicating their participation in the match. Other names that could be part of the show include Dave Mastiff and Matt Cross who are scheduled as part of ICW'S upcoming tour. Due to ICW's relationship with WWE, be on the look out for Tyler Bate too, the UK Champion may wish to add to his championship.

The Square Go will be available to watch LIVE from Fite.TV. Replays of the show (and all other ICW shows, and extras) will also be available on ICW On Demand.

Hope you all give it a watch, and here's hoping for a cracking show.

Angle said:
think it’s less cut-throat now. Not to knock on the Attitude Era guys, but back then it was so competitive because everybody not only wanted to be on top but everybody had the capability of being on top. In other words, I don’t care what anyone says, but the Godfather? A tremendous worker! If the WWE decided to have pushed him back then in the Attitude Era, even though he was a pimp, he could have been on top.

Val Venis? Great worker. Pornstar? He could have been on top.

Crash Holly, Bob Holly, you know? I’m talking about guys that were middle-card and upper-middle card.

And then you had the Austin’s, the Rock’s, the Triple H’s, the Undertaker’s, the Kane’s, the Big Show’s, the Kurt Angle’s, the Brock Lesnar’s, the John Cena’s, the Randy Orton’s- it was just so competitive, the Attitude Era. Even the Ruthless Aggression Era.

I think now guys are more prone to working together, making it great for the product and not so much for themselves. That’s what’s really cool now. I’ll give you an example, the great John Cena. Wins that title from AJ Styles and the next night he does a job in the middle of the ring. 1-2-3 pin. That is the way that it should be. He just made another person. He complimented another wrestler. And he’s still the world champion. That’s really cool that they’re doing that now.

Back when I was there, you know when John Cena became champion for the first time, he didn’t do any jobs. He was unbeatable and indestructible. Nobody was going to touch him. Nobody was going to beat him, even though I made him tap once! (laughs)

No, but seriously, I’m just saying that things are different now. I like the way they compliment each other and it’s not just about one person getting the huge push. It’s about everybody working together as a team to make the product better.
Even angle knows Holly could've been the guy.

He gets a whole video series on wwe.com where Josh Matthews visits him and Tim White finds a new way to try and kill himself.

The real answer is Vince is a sick fuck.
