After SF4, I have a new appreciation for 3s. Was this Ono's agenda all along??

I feel the same but with SF2T lol!

Well Whatever.. At least give us exhibitions...It just seems weird to me that as much historical fighting games Capcom has a hand in there not really trying to do anything with it. But I get it.. this is about marketing your current game.

I used to be a Timmy/Johnny because of my love of weird decks, but now I'm more of a Timmy/Spike.
I always wondered... Why don't Capcom bring back older games for CapCup like SF3 or SF2T?
1) You'd need the hardware for everything, which isn't fun to keep switching especially since Ultra is on PS4 now.
2) There's only a handful of people who even bother with 3S/ST competitively anymore.
3) 3S is boring as fuck.

Proximity guard is a way to control movement.

If you don't want to be "locked in place", then avoid back and downback. Walk forward, or neutral/backwards jump, etc.

It's one effective way of preventing movement from getting stale. It lets the aggressor have a say in what the defender is doing.

I mean I agree, I still don't like how massive it is in SF4 specifically. Seems like overkill and makes certain interactions really boring.

Back when I played Magic I think I was a Timmy with some Johnny mixed in. I wanted to play fun/cool cards and decks and liked finding creative ways to do so. Making decks that were really good competitively wasn't ever really a priority. For fighting games I'm probably just pure Timmy.

Well I am glad the game is working perfectly for you but I and several other people are still having problems with the game such as memory leak crashes, SEVERAL graphical bugs, Frame rate issues, random online crashes (especially in KOTH), Random Freezes, Game UI not being updated, configure settings not memorizing, and several other issues. So yes, you can say the game is "better" than how it was on Day 1 but it still has persistent issue's that that I see I am not the only one having.

Really? Damn, that sucks...I wonder why I'm not having problems....the only thing I've noticed is a certain frame drop when going to character select screen, but that's it

One thing I dislike is the proximity guard from jumping attacks. I hate being locked in place from so far away.

Maybe my memory is more fuzzy than I'd like to admit, but I don't remember people leapfrogging at me in Third Strike very easily like they do in SF4; felt like I could move out of jumping range much easier in that game.

Repeated super close crossup jumps are pretty annoying to deal with here

Okay, I'm sick of not being able to play Xrd online. The ethernet port is shot.

Probably a dumb question:

If I trade in my PS3 and buy a used or new one at a place like Gamestop, will they let swap the hard drives?

Duuuuuuuude, a guy I regularly play against, his entire SF4 career is based around this nonsense. I've had to start playing as characters with very vertical anti-airs/DPs to deal with it.

Adon is really the worst for this. The only consistent way I have for dealing with it is to not put myself in that position.

Wait, all my games are linked to my psn account right? So i can just re-download them?

Just make sure you haven't hit your activation limit. If you still got wifi you can deactivate from your own PS3 or force deactivate all of them from the PSN website. Simple process either way and there's no way to permanently fuck yourself (unlike a certain other digital ecosystem)

Yeah, the digital ones are tied to it so you can just re-download them with ease. If you have plus, so are your save files for all of your games, I'd recommend you go that route so you can wipe it out completely and just re-download everything on your new-used PS3. Just log out and delete all your saved info (such as psn tag and password). I don't know if they'll allow you to swipe hard drives, usually depends on the person. Maybe if you know the person on the register cause I've done it before with my 3DS but have seen others fail. Good luck with that lol

If they don't budge, just tell them that you have a bunch of stuff on it and you'll give back the one you are buying.

How do I find my activation count?

Also, I bought the HK version of Xrd on PS3 and the US version on PS4, both digital. Would I be able to just re-download the US version on my PS3, or would I have to navigate the HK Store again and re-download that version??

If I could just use my damned PS3 stick on PS4 (or even buy a PS4 stick) I wouldn't have this problem :/

Account Management under 'Devices'. You should be able to re-download both if you have login access to both accounts, but yes you have to do them separately. De-activate your old PS3 in both accounts, and login to both accounts and activate them in your new PS3, and re-download the games from each store.

You'd have to re-download the HK version to play on PS3.

Website that guides you on deactivating your system.

I think the Xrd copy is cross-buy so it might work from PS3 to PS4 for your HK version but I don't know if the reverse is also possible for your US version. If so, then you probably can.

Well, all throws are, but look at this one.

The art direction VF stages have is what I would love to see for SFV. That will never happen though. Ono loves the silliness too much. SF4 and SFxT's art suffered a lot from that.

I was reading the MtG article on Timmy, Johnny and Spike. Pretty interesting read I think I lean towards Timmy when it comes MtG. I like to have fun with that game.

If you think about it, some VF stages are mad weird. Like there is literally a steel cage in the middle of the street. It's just one of those moments, where you stop a moment and think about it, they just plopped a cage in a lot of random environments.

I think for 3D games, DOA series is the one I think the developers put the most effort into it. The colors of the stages in DOA5 aren't as popping as DOA4 though but I think the layout of the locales somehow more organic in a way compared to Tekken and VF which feels like they end up fighting in rings.

as much as I love VF, DOA stages are definitely more appealing than VF. Especially how they have transitional changes during the stages.
