I know we joke about it, but who here really doesn't play often? These days, I know what most people play here, and I know they play their games often.

I'd put money on Rise moving up and being a totally viable character.

Also Q the B tier on YMST's list look viable atm. Anything lower is probably pft.

JP ranking systems almost always use B as the base tier, can win but has a few problems with A and S making it easier to win, heh. But uh, it's Persona so hard to tell if B is for Base or if B is for Bad, lol.

It's also worth noting that one player is from the East, one is from the West, so it's a good look to see that some regions have different chars and consider things differently. It's especially telling this early on in the development of the game.

Looking at the list is pretty interesting. The top and bottom look relatively set in stone. There's a lot to be unsure on in the middle.
Seeing placements on both lists for Sho and Minazuki is one of them. Plus there's still so much to explore.

Comparing these to the other player lists I've been seeing, seems like they disagree on Shadow Ken in S tier.

Edit: Also I want to see more Shikki matches. I don't really like Aguro's Narukami all that much. Not that 2.0 has new routes and ideas for the character, but I like watching Shikki deal with 2.0 MUs.

I play a lot less of everything compared to a few years ago. I like watching high level play and if im in the mood Ill play some SF4 or Tekken but with a job and a girlfriend it takes up a ton of time that could be better spent comboing fools.

Ken is very unlikely to ever be S-tier, I think. He just has design quirks that make it hard to dominate to the degree you need to be considered the best of the best. He can be pretty damn close though but 2.0 did nerf Koro pressure, making it harder

S.Ken will probably make your life bar exploded like S.Chie and S.Mitsuru though, lol

S Ken makes you randomly explode for low amounts of meter and he always gets neutral berserk because of the dog. It's sad times if he gets a hold of you.

Reward and small quirks here and there. Shadows still have some trade offs and some don't get enough increased reward to warrant using. Some obviously get extreme reward increases though.

YMST is basically wrote an entire book on P4U over the course of what he wrote, and was the #1 Mits and Akihiko and in the top 10 Narukamis when 1.1 ended. Taihichi was #1 Yukari and currently #1 Margaret and is thought pretty highly of.

Oh wow, what a change for the shadows from 1.1 to 2.0. So then shadows now seem just as viable as their regular counterpart with a few exceptions? That's neat. What makes a shadow better or worse than their regular version tho?

Pros: Awakening super available at the start, more green health, Shadow Berserk and opponent can't burst these, more meter gain
Cons: No awakening (so no better defense at low health), generally worse auto combos, weaker damage multiplier, capped at 100 SP

I seriously don't understand why they buffed Ken's Gigaton Impact in 2.0 to do more damage. It makes his B combos do some ridiculous stuff. I bet it's probably because of the combos a lot of players use over there end up scaling a lot and doing less damage. His B combos already do good damage but now they're doing even more, lol.

I enjoy DBFC at the moment but online took a massive hit after Xrd release. Only Japanese players left to fight now. Looking forward to NA version release so the population can pick back up again.

And Kyamei said Selvaria was B-Tier ;_; not surprising. She is just too much woman to hit, stands twice as tall as most of the puny little moe uguu characters. Makes fighting Shana absolutely heartbreaking.

Fuck Mitsuru by the way, worse than Balrog. That stupid 360 degree DP, and you have to make absolutely sure you hit her before she reaches the ground.
