I ignored the mimic mechanic after he opened with a 9k Flare to Lenna's face.
I don't even have Flare.
And on that note...

Yeah completely ignored the mimic mechanic and went full tank and spank with IKO resist gear. I'd thought I'd have to pull on this event because despite having lots of V synergy, my actual SB's sans Faris' are old and terrible, but it went fairly well (despite Gogo deciding to sweep ExDeath off his feet halfway).
Dude spends half the time buffing himself with Haste and wasting time.

My mage party has changed! RIP Vanille, you served me well. I've gone well over the magic buff soft cap at this point with 4 Faithga's but I don't care. MORE POWER. Rotated Hope into my party as my "interchangeable DPS that has a BSB to exploit boss weakness", before realising after I pressed the go button that Raines does Holy as well.
Chain Waterga's animation speed is so fast. I love it.

Wow, those FF6 banners look great. If they really do appear before Force Stealer I'm going to have a tough decision to make about where to sink my mythril. :/

I tried really hard to do Gogo the mimic way. I managed to survive the initial onslaught, but only by gimping myself with shell, blink, and reflect RMs and using Yuna's USB afterwards to get up one dead character. However, wasting 4 ability slots on total junk and no boostga or wall meant I could barely scratch him while he meteor and holy'd me to death. Maybe you'd stand a little chance with exdeath runic, but even then, I dunno.
Gave up and went normal FF5 CM and won my first time and I don't have a medica in FF5.

I remember people having a hell of a time beating it normally when the dungeon first came out.

Nowadays you can RW a good ice BSB like Edea and summon on two 450+ magic users and just tear through it. Bring two healers and one support with magic breakdown and full break and it's not so bad. BSB barely existed when it launched which is mostly what made it so hard.

Yeah, it was way overtuned when it first came out. I'm amazed that people were able to CM it back then, before powercreep made the fight more reasonable.

Took it out cm when first released. Forget the team make up but I had selphies medics blink, quistis regen shellga ssb. Think I used seifer as a knight. It was rough but took it out early. I should try it again now, would be quite a romp I think.
I need any of those relics and i could do it.
Any 8 characters I could wrath and entrust with?
No medica or wall, just rinoa?
I tried the FF 13 CM (since it's easiest)
and the FF8 CM since it's topic here and includes motes!

In fact, as I type this out, I feel kinda like I should have owned it already. I only tried twice last night.

So tonight is Dungeon Update? Always makes me happy, so much content and all.
But this will be the first time I'm not excited about a LU 25myth pull. We have So much coming up, and I'm up to 50mythril now!

Will we be getting 1/2 STA again with the DU? I missed it last time, so I've been waiting for it to come back before doing them.
Not to be a pessimist, but until they recently did that during the 2yr anniversary, I'd had never seen/heard that before.
So I either have faulty memory, or they've never done it, at least since when I started September 2015.
Think half stamina here to stay for du going forward.
I had a shared medica but I don't remember if I used it.
No wall, just RWed the bursts and focused him down.
There are better ice bursts now (Edea, Serah, Squall) so it should be a little easier.
Well I mean I know the LD is half pride for the DU update but if all dungeons are half price or something going forward then wow .. kinda makes me wish I had waited.
Twice already now Syn? Guess it is fairly memory then. Man things crash all the time when that happens.
I'm with ya. My squall is pretty juiced, but nothing of value for anyone else.

I'm still trying to grab Faris' BSB. I have everything else for her and she's an AOE debuffing beast even without it, but it sure would be nice to have.

App announcements are generally pushed to the client a day before they happen, so we could know tonight.
Yeah I got several ssb that debuff. Wanting some bsb. Off the top of my head I think I just have zidane with his commands.
Just to kill time until DU I'm gonna categorize relics over here. Get some accurate info since I just usually fly off at the mouth in fits of rage.

Edit: I mean, I get that on BSBs. I prefer them over OSB and so far USB. They give me stamina.
That said, some of those SSB's are life savers. I'd have to look, off head only glancing at that list, I guess maybe just Vaan and Tyro? I think Zidane's commands are debuffs also. I don't know.
What I haven't made yet, is an Imperil/EnElement list. I usually just go look at all my relics for that element and then read them again for reminder.
I also took Ranged and Non-Ele off that list not too long ago. Doesn't seem to be a boss coming up where I need a bunch of Ranged Relics I guess. I also need to make a blink list, but it's usually just the medica SSB's.

I think that it will be the first DU LD that I will skip. Celes BSB2 is too close... Fuck those Nightmares LD, got shit for 100 Mythrils!

Ya Cuth, I'm at 47 Myth, how the hell am I going to chase Cloud and do this fest coming up. Does anybody have cpp's phone number? He's more likely to give CC info over the phone than the internet. Seriously this is so random. It has Legend Materia relics and all other shit. Don't get why they would skip FF VI and IX for that.
