I get the feeling that Sazh's episode is just going to introduce the card game anyway. I want to stay the hell away from Serendipity for a while.
Are you asking about essences? I have a hard time finding those, too. Orbs and crystals are very easy, but essences elude me.
I may be suffering from source amnesia, but someone from here or gamefaqs said that the slots were to easy. If so, may they experience my rage 100X over!!!

At the Archylte Steppe, in Clearwater Marshes during rain. The mobs there, frogs, those swamp bird things and the leech thingy all drop potent essences at a good rate.

I assumed it happened because
Sazh somehow ended up at Serendipity. There are other women there dressed up like Chocobos. I assume they're Chocobos, too and there are women dressed as catgirls that probably came from cats. Maybe there's just somethign about Serendipity that lets animals take human form.

You won't be able to kill it until you can do enough damage to kill as it's standing up. I have all roles maxed and tried to see if I can withstand its attacks after it stands and it didn't go well. His attack cleaves so the medic will end up dying in a few hits, if your sentinel survives after the other two have died, then he'll likely die soon after. Just an experiement, I could easily kill it before he regains all his hp as it's standing up.

I'm at Academia 500 AF but my Flanitor sucks terribly. Where is a good place to farm for some items to buff him up? I heard Augusta Tower, is that right?

I laughed aloud at when I asked the game to tell me how to play cards, and rather than the hostess making a line that obscures the fact that it's DLC, the game itself outright tells me that it's going to be DLC. :lol :lol :lol
Why not have the Coliseum dude tell me right off the bat, "To actually use this place, fork your gil over to the Etro Play Station Crux for opponents to cross the void to battle you!"

That's the type of subtlety that I had expected to come from that particular hostess, though. "We haven't hired anyone for that yet" or "We just decided to add that the other day, so it isn't ready yet. You should come back later!" would have been more creative. Likely an effect of technical stuff, but I couldn't help but to have a laugh at that.
