If you've got a 1080 monitor then you need to set your desktop resolution to 720 then in the CCC you need to set the scaling options to overscan then apply.

It's something that seems so simple but I was playing another game and getting really shitty framerates, I checked all my ram and reseated / applied new thermal paste to the cpu (you know, I probably needed to do that anyways), got new fans.....and then I saw that my cpu wasn't at the right speed because windows had it set to "balanced". One basic toggle in the control panel fixed my problem.

Why does this look so good, while only being 720p? This res looks like absolute blurry/fuzzy crap on my laptop's screen, in every other game I test, while FFXIII looks pretty dang clear.

It's weird.

Probably MSAA + clean visual style.

Thinking that one game has better IQ than another despite basically the same settings isn't really that unusual.

With Nvidia inspector set power management mode to prefer maximum performance. In control panel -> power options set to High performance.

Oh wow I just checked and yeah, it doesn't change anything. I was happy that they gave us JP text... All it does it change the launcher to JP :|

Sadly, no. Matsuno got Alex O. Smith for 12. SE did 13 all in-house with people making calls who really don't get English that well.

Thankfully we get another Matsuno/Smith game in Unsung Story.

What is with the fps drops? My game stays at a constant 60fps a majority of the time, but during transitions from field to battle it can drop down to ~50fps then quickly shoot back up to 60fps. It's annoying.

I have performance mode set in Nvidia Contol Panel. Frankly, this is the only game in my library that drops frames like this for no apparent reason.

Meh. Yes for Some, No for others.To the best of my knowledge you can't change it at all.

Bloody awful. You can't change controls on a controller and you can only change about 5 keys. The framerate has been ridiculously inconsistent for me and even stutters during cutscenes.

The hell? Not even close. The 2500k @ 4GHz will play just about any game released today at 60 FPS with no issues (hell, 100 FPS is a decent minimum to expect).

If he was running two or three in SLI, maybe then you can start to talk about CPU bottlenecking.

Eh, when your wailing on the fraps screen capture button constantly, something good has to come out. If I hold the forward arrow in Windows Photo Viewer, the stills quickly cycle almost as smooth as a classic silent picture!
