You and I both know they aren't going to do anything.
I still think it needs to be done, necessary even, unless SE really doesn't give a damn about anything.
Have you tried this? Works for me with my Windows 8 disc.
Our raid group is down a man for normal. Is anyone up for it? Experienced 27+ would be nice.
Another sunsinger would be nice, or a Hunter. Anything will do though.
Psn: astropoff
Durante's got it covered

He's not going to create all-new textures and models.
Not sure how people are going to know where to go without the mini map.
Sarcasm?

So, I just want to make one point about this.
Preface: Durante is extremely talented, experienced, and dedicated. I don't want to take anything away from him.
However, he'd agree with me that the point of him fixing this stuff so quickly is that the stuff should not have been broken to begin with. The entire point is that this isn't that teams aren't able to do this, it's that they don't even conceptually think to do it. It never even occurs to them. It's mostly a cognitive blindness rather than a lack of ability. I'm also certain that Durante would point out that the only reason it takes him more than 5 seconds is that he has to reverse engineer things that are going on in the engine; if he had access to the engine, he'd be able to work much more quickly. That's the silent undercurrent of all three of the games he's fixed.

I have GeDoSaTo set to 1920 x 1080, but now the framerate drops are much more frequent. It constantly drops to 30-40fps in battles. And yes, I have the "Prefer maximum performance" setting enabled. My card is a 660Ti. That should be plenty powerful enough to run this game at a constant 60fps at 1080.
Despite earlier claims, this game does not seem very optimized.

So true it hurts.
Im getting 20-60 fps on a HD6850 AMD gpu. Should i chalk it up to "bad rig" or the framerate is really unstable?
yeah, he fixes the mess the developers doesnt want/can/or bother to fix. but why he has to do that in the first place? the entire point of releasing a product on a platform is to use all that platform can offer, not just doing a quick job for a quick buck.
we need someone like him on Steam releases QA (if that ever exist)
Guessing you never saw the 360 version then, lol.
So are all the FMVs really on there twice to account for lip sync?
not in the case of LR he can't help. FF13 has quality visuals already, while LR has not. I mean SE has to put some effort in that port, they just have to.

Xyber said:Just a quick shot grabbed with dxtory. No problems running this at 3200x1800 with my 970 at least. Hope I can get 4K working somehow though.
I wonder if my 780 will be able to do 4k (well, 3840x2400) at 60. It was able to for Dark Souls 2
Does the Durante fix also include the AF and AA or do i still have to force those in the Nvidia control panel for the time being?
So are the visuals in FFXIII-2 actually worse than in FFXIII? I only played the first one so I don't have anything to compare to.
AF you'd force through you GPU Vrndors drivers. I haven't updated to the latest GeDoSaTo build but it supports various AA types. If you have a look at the profiles section there should be one for FFXIII (well I'm assuming that's how he's doing it) and there will be the size you render the game at and any other enabled settings.

Yep, and it makes me kinda sad.
It would be cool if you managed to get them to answer some questions about their PC ports in one of your future interviews with SE, though I could already picture their non-answers.
Yeah 970 can do 4k easily. I tried 5760x3240 and it seems to drop as low as 40FPS sometimes. Still more frames than the console version I guess though, hah!I'm running it some way above 4K with an R7 265 and getting an FPS of 25-35, your 970 can easily do 4K.
