Hey, on the PC, when I ran the ffxivsetup.exe it created a shortcut on my desktop, ran that, it dowloaded a few files and I got taken to a ToS window. I get a script error upon it loading and I'm unable to click Next after checking the agreement box.

which is what the window I'm stuck on looks like.

Error: HTML Parsing Error. Unable to modify container element before child element is closed(KB927917).

Any ideas? I've uninstalled, redownloaded and reinstalled already.

What version of Internet Explorer is installed on your system? I am pretty sure this comes from having an old one.

Try pressing alt+~ when you're typing, should switch over to English.

I mean, I played FFXIV 1.0 for only a month, and I don't remember any of it, so I don't know if I count as "legacy".

I'm rolling Ultros in Phase 3, but yeah, I'm not going to play a ton if I know everything is getting wiped.

This game has come a very long way, amazing how much work has been put in! I'm just wondering, can I access my 1.0 character in the beta yet? Is that available for the next phase or only retail?

I don't think you can resize the screen but you CAN move the UI elements around, so if something is cut off, you could move it in toward the center.

So I have a few things to say about the game so far. Firstly just like Tera the humans look overly buff and I have to try very hard to even make him look presentable. Secondly the game takes way to long to start up after creating a character. So many cutscenes and so much dialogue, I just wanna play the game.

After that I haven't played yet (still stuck in the opening) but I'm glad it has controller support.

Well, as a veteran FFXI player, I think I'm out. I'm not liking this...the game looks like a solo fest for most of the time, partys aren't encouraged at all...just do some quests, spam your best skills over and over and that's it. And since you get 1.000tp from the beginning and you are spamming them, the skills lose all value. It's not like in FFXI, where getting your 100tp and unleashing your weaponskill (even better, skillchaining with someone else!) was fucking satysfing.

I'll keep an eye out for Beta 4, but this doesn't seem for me at all. Solo options are great and I welcome them, but with MMOs I'm looking for a social experience.

Maybe I'm just not with the times.

FFXI is/was a solo fest from the start up until the early to mid-teens. XIV is not all that different. Party content becomes much more relevant once you get higher in level just like it was in FFXI. Early game is even more solo now in the current iterations of the game.

Also, 100 TP and counting down is way better than building it up.

Legacy GAF needs to stop pushing Sargatanas so hard (in game and on the forum). Let it go guys. Some people just don't want to play on a Legacy server and those people can play on Ultros. Let them play where they want.

We must get the word out on where the best community will be. I onny want a united GAF and have longed to play with GAF since 1.x. Now you guys all want to be separated. I don't think there's any harm in wanting to play with your friends. I happen to think of GAF as that.
