Woo hoo, download speed suddenly spiked, only an hour left now.
This client fucking sucks, i keep getting "Servers not responding" every 30 minutes or so. Ugh.
I need to lvl up FAST. My character does not look good in this puglist armor, I'm not a fan of bright colors.
What the fuck is wrong with their login system ?
Received a code, registered it...but now I can't access my account, says invalid password.
dang zero luck so far on a NA ps3 beta code seems to be pretty rare lol.
I downloaded the FFXIV video on the PSN and got an email the next day

Well this sucks game is pretty much becoming unplayable with all this lag. Anyone else having lag problems on ps3?
I played for about 20 mins and that is all I will be able to handle. Yikes. Modern MMO's like Neverwinter and Guild Wars 2 throw you into the action right away, you are fighting, getting XP and new weapons/skills within minutes, this starts with several very slow paced cutscenes with no voice over, and then the first quest is to walk forward and talk to the next quest giver like its still 2004.
Why is there no screenshot feature on the PS3 version?
KeionGAF always fashionably late to the party.

While you might consider that a negative, I actually found the story-oriented introduction nice because it was distinct from the rest of the pack. There is very little care to be had for story in MMOs precisely because everyone seems to be in a huge rush to kill the next thing. ARR seems to put more weight on its story, and the 'old JRPG' style of the characters talking with dialogue boxes to go through engages more than the huge blocks of text from other MMOs.I played for about 20 mins and that is all I will be able to handle. The need for instant satisfaction is a negative in my opinion.
Just to make sure: the PS3 key still works even if I use the PC key, right?
FFXI was basically the DS of the mmorpg in that sense, eh.

lol, it kind of was, yeah.
Ahah, yeah.
It had its charm and i had fun times, but I'm glad this XIV is different, I would have dropped it faster than an hot potato if it was another XI.

In Ricchan fashion too.
You on Ultros too?

Was looking through my screenshots from earlier... Man, I really love the lighting in this game:
So good.
Don't that's a terrible forum.

It's amazing to witness the global dynamic lighting system in action. If you stand still in town, you can watch the shadows of buildings and other players slowly move and rotate with the sun as it rises, travels across the sky, and sets. I've never seen an MMO engine capable of doing that before.
Yeah, but only fans of good Keions are allowed on Ultros.
Tee hee.

How do you get a baby chocobo?

There's a npc that sells them in each city. The one in Gridania is close to the big crystal in town.
If you are just starting, they are really expensive, though. Like 2400 gil.
Does it grow so you can ride it?
Rapid questions.
How can I get a axe? Do I need to travel to another city? How do I do that? Do I have to hoof it? Any lancers? What is the receptionist and the guy that gives quest wearing?
Level 10 to change classes and ride chocobos. Level 15 for airship.
So you buy a damn PS4! I dunno, that's lame.
Okay, this is beyond stupid. Since earlier today I can't even launch the game.
I just get the intro music playing, the mouse cursor and the loading thing in the upper right corner.
I don't know what to do anymore at this point.
