In all seriousness it's nice that they're finally doing something to give the class a purpose--the only other thing fishing had going for it right now was Emperor Fish for flint caviar, and those were a pain in the ass for food it's literally impossible to take full advantage of with current stats. i90 battle accessories relied on mining stuff, might as well make fishing relevant too. Get fishing, pay up, or hope I get really extra bored and start throwing fish at people.

That cake isn't even edible, man. Inedible cake maybe gets you a Fire II materia.

Why is everyone making it sound like this new relic grind is the end of the world? Seems easy to me. Ran 4 dungeons this morning and got 2 of the items. The dungeons take no time at all and if you do it now, queues are short even for DPS, I got into all of them within 5 minutes.

Everything in hullbreaker melted, WP was done in a few minutes, copperbell bosses didn't stand a chance, yeah lots of steamrolling to be had.

Yes. For gearing you'll likely end up with a "main" combat class, but you can be all the jobs on one character and gear up sufficiently to do most things as anything if you want.
