Tsundere
33 WoD runs no BRD chest. I've seen some of the worst players imaginable. I'd prefer the rest of the raids was constantly 23 bots.
Pokemon.
Thank you everyone who helped in the bard chest death march earlier today. As of this writing, it continues.
On the bright side, I've given up on counting runs and am measuring based on aetheric activity. Two more days of as much WoD as I've done today and I'll have Nexus.
and still no shirt.
Heh. After a huge number of Syrcus Tower in which I never got the Bard body, I decided to say "screw it". Now I'm getting any piece of equipment which isn't a belt and which can be useful to me.
Probably the same reason why we don't have open world dungeons.
It's because of hunts!
The Lucis tools are so amazing! I can now put the Artisan Trade-in with No food and all NQ ingredients... put it on macro.
I can't believe I'm having to defend GAF on these stupid hunt /sh's.
It's same people who early pull, at least late night, Rylai, Pudding, Cuddly, and Lord Sephyr. And some DRG I keep missing name of cause he jumps. None of which are in GAF.
I don't even understand the early pull thing. You spend hours doing nothing but running around scouting during hunts, then when something spawns, you need to attack it right away and can't wait the 30 seconds extra that's needed for people with slow load times? I'm not even missing any hunts personally, it's just a common courtesy thing for other people.
I wanted to make a comment in Illy's posy on the official forums regarding the Midgardsormr localization issues but the forums wouldnt let me pick a main character. Guess its for the best.
My two cents is, whether you understood what Midgardsormr was talking about or not, the fact issues came up to begin with is the problem. This isnt the first time issues have come up. A character in Ishgard was changed almost completely until they used him as a big character in cutscenes. He appeared completely out of character in that respect in english while he remained the same in other languages. The H7nt hints were another example. English speaking players had to look to Japanese translation for proper hints.
I hope Koji and his crew take a look at some of their decisions going forward a bit moee closely. I understood his Dragonspeak post. I get it. But issues have been called out and should be looked at. Take that to heart. I personally think he has it backwards. Old beings and creatures like to praddle on, not cut things off. =p
Is there a reference somewhere that explains how many of each materia I need to put in my Animus?
75 total infusions. The amount each tier a stat will take is determined by (MaxStat / 4) with any remainder going to the highest tiers first. So for Crit (44), this means each tier will take 11 and Determination (31) will be 7 / 8 / 8 / 8.
This is why hunts aren't worth it.
Is there a reference somewhere that explains how many of each materia I need to put in my Animus? Like how many Might 1, 2, 3, 4's to max determination, and maybe an overall recommended build? I'm doing Dragoon and know I'm maxing determination and crit (kill me plz) but not sure what else I should put in it.
Wondering how much this is going to cost me. Getting the Alexandrite (even pre-patch) doesn't even seem like that big of a deal in comparison to getting the cash for high end DPS materia.
Buy as many det 4s you can now while the market fell. You get one at the end of the new main story questline so they fell about 300k. I believe the first 3 at least are 100% chances.
They are entirely worth it when you don't clear coil every week. Everyone wants better gear. This is a way to do it were we have some control to actually do so.

Vanity>iLevel anyway.
One important thing to keep in mind: It is really, really easy to replace materia after you've completed Novus. It just takes a new scroll (easy since soldiery is everywhere now), 1 Alex per point you want to replace, and the new materia. There is no reason to hold up your relic progression, when you get there, because you can't fund MAX STATS (and while aiming for maximum secondaries is nice, the difference between the budget builds and the pricey ones in terms of real DPS is so ridiculously small it's never going to make or break you.)
I don't know how to explain it, it justs whatever I manage to do I seem to be so far behind every player around me in the dungeons etc.
(My first mmo)
Most of the level 50 playerbase is going to radically outgear you just by virtue of having been around longer, so feeling like you have to catch up is pretty normal. The good news is that this is, IMO, where the game starts getting good and opens up. So enjoy catching up, I guess.
This thing gives you a rundown of what to do as a fresh 50; it'll take time but you can catch up pretty easily.
Yeah I'm looking at crit/det and then ss as my poverty stat. 400K for one point of crit is not something I can afford right now.

Provided you have access to like two million gil or so, which isn't too tough to come by, Alex really should be the time limiting factor in the Novus step.

Black Mage, right? Shouldn't it be SSPD/Det and then Crit (or Accuracy) as your poverty stat? Stat weights and all.
I've always favoured crit. As I understand it's a linear increase on your crit rate percentage. Is that not the case? I've always been a big crit rate junkie. Definitely staying away from accuracy; it's a struggle to avoid accuracy on caster gear.

But why do you need better gear if you aren't clearing coil? Even with full soldiery you're set until the expansion.
I think people want better gear so they can clear coil.
Ok this is good info! I did not even realize they could be replaced. So what's a good recommended budget build for Dragoon? Should I still partially increase crit/det to like Materia 3's then just do some accuracy or whatever?
