Who wants to RSVP to the Pony Party tomorrow?

Gifts* include:

*Awarded to those who pass on Levi Pony and stay at least 3 hours (or until pony drops, whichever comes first). Breaks will be permitted.

Damn, this is real tempting.

So I've learned that Twintania is a thing, a painful, painful thing. The struggle is real my friends.

Honestly, the only difficult part is the divebombs, and maybe the twisters if people aren't reactive enough. Once everyone understands and reacts correctly, frankly, the fight is not that difficult.

One of my favourite things to do in this game is equip i90 gear and click off the Twintania echo. I really like that fight. I also love the Nael fight, and will do it all day every day if possible. I'm trying to get every weapon, so far I have 5, just SCH Book, Crook, Cleavers, Bagnakalakkalakakas, and Spear left to get. I've never seen the Crook and only seen one SCH Book. I've seen 5 SMN Books and 7 of the BLM Staff.

I would avatar quote myself but that might be in poor taste.

Are you healer? You could respec for 30 vit if so, nice chunk of HP. Not sure if worth it if dps, I don't know how the 30 INT loss compares to the INT/secondaries you lose in using i90 vit melded accessories.

So, I think I'm going to take a look at T10 tonight. I don't think it's likely that bunch of random GAFers and pugs are likely to beat it the first time in, but should I watch a video on the off chance that everyone gets through the first phase or two without exploding?

Edit:
Eh, nevermind. I'll just watch a video, to increase the chances that I can actually see and get a feel for the fight. Might as well, even if it's a herp-derp run.

I'm letting my sub expire and don't think I'll be back for a very long time. I had a good time during though. Why am I typing this you ask? My in-game characters Quin Resdin and Esther Deleon can be removed from GAF FC on Ultros to free up space :)

Have had Duty Finder queued for Cape Westwind for 2 days now without a match yet. As a tank, too. RIP story progression ;_;7

I don't understand, what's the huge appeal of collecting these ponies? You can only use one at a time. Is it a collectionist thing? You don't get any achievement for getting them in game.

Like Kagari said, if people didn't have this mentality then pokemon wouldn't sell.

I get the desire to collect & master, but this seems like such a small thing for the amount of work to me (or in Korra's case, actual real life money). In Pokemon, that's what the game is about.

it's useless and just for fun. you're playing among a glamour community first and foremost.

I'm honestly surprised that you haven't grown accustom to seeing this kind of thing. I know you haven't played many mmos, but the one you did play before was FF11. The amount of time and effort people would put into getting any little thing in that game goes above and beyond grinding an easy boss for a bit.

In FF11, there really wasn't much "glamour". You grinded for exp or quests or gear to take on new content or epeen, usual MMO ladder.

I touched on this as part as my hatred of selling vanity stuff for real money in subscription games earlier, but items not having stats on them makes them no less a part of the "win" condition of a game to various people. Grinding to get dat +4 Axe has no more benefit to the player then grinding to get a new pony to show off is to the person who likes that kind of thing.
