Where can I find the Sky Gemstone for Cid? It's for the Ultima Blade.
Oh wow. Glad you're getting a replacement book. I'm liking the way the way Piggyback created this guide. There's loads of unexpected info in there and it seems to have been wrote by someone who's down to earth and has a sense of humour.
After the second broken down car side quest, the author half jokingly says to just go back to Hammerhead and stock up on plenty more because we will be using a lot more later. Poking fun at the shitty nature of those side missions.

With how real the world looks, I want to play it in English to immerse myself further, but (some of) the voices are too annoying. Mostly Gladio and Cidney.
Japanese seems to be more well received. The French dub is apparently very good. English is mediocre, although some people seem to like it well enough.

No it clearly said FF15 Ending. It's not even the worst spoiler like an Aerith death or something I just don't like knowing where a story leads, it deflates the journey for me. I feel like there's no tension anymore.

Have had this game since saturday, only managed to clock about 5 hours but i've reached chapter 3.
This really is a great game, most games from this generation have failed to pull me in and give me the desire to play, this includes highly anticipated games like MGSV and Fallout which were ultimately a disappointment.
I really thought this was down to open-world fatigue, I did not have high hopes for the future of gaming including FFXV knowing that it would be following the open world trend.
While I still think that the current open-world trend is a bad thing, (i'm not opposed to open world games, just unnecessary ones) I feel the world has been executed perfectly in this game, they have nailed it.
Story, all though I have only experienced a fraction of it, i'm not yet able to relate to peoples issues with the story, everything up to this point seems pretty clear cut and the story seems pretty simple to follow, especially when compared to FFXIII. I have not watched kinsglaive but have watched brotherhood.
Combat is fun and makes battles seem like less of a burden, sometimes a little too easy, I would prefer a more traditional take on this combat for future games, similar to how it is in XIII, but I have no problems with the combat.
Quests are well done and take you across a good variety of environments which is pretty important to me, there is no doubt that this is a final fantasy game. Side quests are a great addition and add a lot to the world.
Minigame(s) are great from what I have played. So far I have only done Fishing, and i've found it to be really enjoyable, I normally ignore gimmicky additions to games, but fishing works well.
Sound so far has failed to impress me. Sound is normally one of the greatest features of this series and i'm not feeling it up to this point, I feel like there is an overall lack of sound, and whilst listening to music from older games is nice, I would much prefer an all round original score, giving the game it's own identity as opposed to using nostalgia as a sort of cop-out. The music I have heard up to this point is not bad by any means, it's just not very apparent.
Overall the game is captivating, I find myself anticipating playing each day which is something I have not felt for a long time.

English or Japanese? Japanese one is very funny. Also when you get down of the Chocobo and he say "Arigatoooo Chocobooo". Love it.
Loving the game so far the combat feels kinda simular to Kingdom Hearts 2 wich is awesome imo.
Only played like a hour so far but it's fantastic.
Edit: imo it's the party members wich make the game epic they flow all so nicely together as friends and it's amazing how they work in combat it's way better then donald and goofy for sure lol.
Edit 2: Control Type B don't forget to set that up! It's way better dunno how this is not default honestly.

A thing I noticed: Unlike other games, the potions and whatnot are all soft drinks with Noctis' magic giving them healing properties. The fact that Noct can pick up potions and elixirs everywhere, on the ground or near a bin, gives the implication he's picking up half-drunk discarded soft drinks and drinking them.
Anyone else having serious issues with unresponsive controls? (PS4 Pro)
This happens in and out of combat. Out of combat - I'll look at a mining node or NPC and see the X prompt, but he'll just jump. Waiting a second with the prompt showing usually avoids this. In combat - I'll look at a warp point to rest, and instead of warping there, he'll just warp in the direction on the ground.
It's really ruining my enjoyment of the game.

I'm currently level 22, and doing hunts against level 12-16 monsters...and I do so little damage, even with with the correct weapon against them.
Haven't tried the JP voices yet, though I believe, firmly, that all chocobros be thanked for their efforts
Totally swapping later to JP to see the differences.
My favourite banter in the game is when reviewing the pictures Prompto has taken:
"Nailed it."
"Stylish as always."
"Perfect timing."

I played for about an hour yesterday and am really enjoying the game. Still having a little issue with the combat but I'm sure it will click eventually.
About 20 minutes into the game during a hunt I ran into a level 15 cactuar. I was only level 1 but I managed to kill him somehow. When I rested at camp I went up 9 levels....

I'm enjoying it well enough, although I'm midway through chapter 3 and the combat still feels a bit like a clusterfuck around large groups of smaller enemies, boss fight scenarios seem to play best, but with all these enemies and effects going to so quickly readability is difficult, especially considering a pre-emptive and not reactionary evasion is optimal.

Played it for a bit this morning and I can already tell that I will like it a lot.
Realized it´s been a while since I played a Japanese game.
First woman in the game is introduces by a shot of her ass quickly cut to a shot of her boobs.
Dialogue is pretty much perma-cringe fot me.
But I´m embracing the "japaneseness" and I find it endearing.
Can´t wait to dig in this weekend.

I've try to do a Imp Hunt with 7 level 17 ... when i was level 11, took me a god 20 minutes to dodge and counter and spam Skill.... cost me 20 potion, and 3 pheonix down... i'll wait later to do another at that level, that like 4K gil in waste
. And f these blue thing level 14 got 18k of HP and hit then ike 30-40 because they are full resist to everything. I saw they got "Light" weakness ? What is this stat. Hunt are actual the only challenging part so far...

Hunt's and Dungeons are pretty much the only challenging things if I am reading this thread correctly haha
