I'm laughing at them putting this level 5 quest item right outside a level 57 dungeon. I screamed when that samurai thing just swiped through me and I was one-shotted to the bottom of the mines. Just terrifying.
Yeah it's bad. I can't excuse the narrative in this game.
I'm on chapter 13 and have had issues with the narrative direction of the overall plot since the beginning. While I find things like this disappointing, I'm really enjoying the narrative so far.
What point are you at? I'm early c5. Did you have these issues from the beginning of the game to where I am, or did they develop later?
I ask because I'm curious how my opinion will change as I progress. Perhaps you and I have different tastes, or perhaps I'll begin to feel the flaws more later in the game.
I'm having a blast but this is so disappointing because the world lore and plot seem like they are so good but some of these events just give you a solid case of blue balls with wanting more. I know the obvious answer is they probably just ran out of time but they need to find a healthy balance in the future and put in some of XIII's cinematic approach.Yeah it's bad. I can't excuse the narrative in this game.
If you pay attention to combos you'll notice there are specific points you can freely break to enter defense state. You need to learn these and decide if you have time to commit to an attack or defend.
When the square appears, always hold square until you either get hit or it disappears (enemies can be killed/interrupted by party members while on their way to attack you).
It's a weird battle system, but imo it's a fluid and highly enjoyable one. I can understand it being divisive though, it definitely plays with certain rules/standards we might be used to.
Hopefully it will click with you at some point.

Nah, theres a reason we're all making fun of it. This plot is thinly connected and it's full of contrivances and warps around as it needs.Except that part isn't nonsense as it's clearly explainedthe chancellor has his own ideas and his actions in aiding the group show he has his own agenda.
I mean, you can dislike the story but this part is very clearly explained and shown.
When do i get to come back to the first area afterin chapter onegetting on the ferry
Are you just doing sidequests to level up, orrrFinally moved on from chapter 3 today....
Did every sidequest until then and am currently hunter rank 5 almost to 6
Currently level 67
I have only fished at a few spots so far, but it can be pretty fun and a bit stressful when catching some of the rarer fish.
It works pretty well. The mechanics are easy to understand but they are more on the shallow side in terms of depth so don't expect much of a challenge (of course I'm still early in the game so who knows, maybe you start catching Leviathans or something). All in all I'd say it's a rather nice way to pass the time.
And I thought Chapter 3 at 14 hours level 26 was bad...Almost 40h playtime, level 47 with all my dudes... chapter 3.
Am I doing something wrong?
This was duscae too. Click r3 when holding r1 to lock it for good.
Press R3 and you can drop R1.
How do I intentionally perform a link strike?

It's nonsensical- he has no reason to help them and take theirwithout you trying you best to make it work in some contrived way. It adds nothing to the story besides gameplay time.car__
Then we hunt after something becaude we're offhad told to. It feels like they ahd these ideas and were awful at connecting them?

How do I use Techs above level 1? I've unlocked a few with the ascension tree but it seems only the level 1 set are available in combat?
You have to equip them in the gear screen.
Backside attacks on enemies and depending if one of the bros are nearby, it happens naturally you can't trigger it. Although, there's a friendship charm that increases such odds.
Thanks! I feel like a dope now.
He didn'ttake their car, the empire did. He was acting under his own agend separately.
This much is very clear, not only does an early cutscene show him telling the emperor that there are benefits to keeping Noctis alive, but the previous few quests show him offering the group help that seemingly opposes the intent of the rest of the empire (the attacking troops).
It's not nonsensical at all, this part at least.
Whoever designed costlemark tower needs to be fired.
How does the game decide when to analyse an enemy and when not ?
I could overlook it towards the beginning, but it's just getting more and more apparent.I'm on chapter 13 and have had issues with the narrative direction of the overall plot since the beginning.
So is the soundtrack better or worse than Xenoblade Chronicles X? You know, the bar for JRPGS.

I don't think so. It was the same for me. At leastI'm in chapterand right now there's a scene in the5and the whole time the eyes are closed while speaking.past and gentiana is speaking to young Noctis in wheelchair
Is this a fucking glitch lol.
Just reply with a yes or no please.

It's so unfair that we have to wait until December 21st for the soundtrack of the year. 😭The soundtrack is probably the strongest individual aspect of FFXV. It is an instant classic.
LMAO thisthing at the end of CH 5. This emotional moment is so unearned and unmoving.Jared
And then the story is moved along byAre you kidding me.a text-box on a loading screen?
It's funny, since I've spent every moment I could listening to XI's soundtrack, I've missed most of the OST that people are talking up.The soundtrack is probably the strongest individual aspect of FFXV. It is an instant classic.
Err if he has the power totake Noct alive in the airship of the sworn enemy and drop him off, he can leave the car.
Wait, this doesn't fix the initial issue everyone has with it-- thecar being taken by the empire[/spoiler is stupid and the whole section is contrived just to continue it. It's not something that should be there in any well written story. No one writing the story should've agreed to that basically.
Not as bad as the text box on screen creating the next story push.
"shit the game is out next month and we forgot to put a cutscene here", " a text box will do".
Ughhhhhh.
Yeah it's bad. I can't excuse the narrative in this game.
