Ohh..then afaik noYeah, but I'm kinda looking for something where I can just experiment with combos without being interrupted by attacks.
Or I missed it

How much time I have to wait for the engine blade upgrade? I have rested like 20 times in a camp
http://gematsu.com/2016/12/final-fa...top-five-million-fastest-selling-title-seriesFinal Fantasy XV, which launched worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Tuesday, November 29, has sold five million copies, Square Enix announced.
The number includes sales of both physical and digital copies.
Final Fantasy XV is the fastest selling title in the Final Fantasy series. In Japan, the game had the highest recorded first-day digital copies sold. And in Asia (excluding Japan), the game had the highest recorded amount of physical copies shipped and digital copies sold.
I did shitloads of side content, was probably about your same level when I finished Chapter 3 and now I'm hitting a big difficulty spike in Chapter 7, so it's not like doing all the sidequests in Ch3 just lets you one-shot every enemy for the rest of the game.I wish I didn't feel rushed by the game. After just a few hunts appropriate for my level and a few side quests, and just the first two Royal Arms dungeons .. I am am level 22 and on chapter 3. Makes me sad.
I feel like if I want any kind of challenge I have to skip most side content and that's not what I want. I also don't want to nuke/one-shot everything.
No meeting halfway it seems.
Waiting alone won't do it, you need to complete quests.
After a few you'll get a call from Cid to let you know it's ready.
In chapter three how the hell do iget to the waterfall lol, I'm just at the rest stop near the bridge....

I'll o out on a limb and say it will be exactly as it is now: some loving it and some hating it.
We've had enough people finish to see the divisive opinion stays.
I'm fairly certain I'm going to enjoy the majority of this game. Basing this on the fact that almost everyone I've seen who's finished and feels overly negative toward it states they felt this way from the start or very early in the game while, so far, far I've loved every minute.
Wait, so...theoretically, what if you don't do any of the weapon upgrade quests until you've completed every other quest? Would you just be locked out of completing them?

Walk along the bridge a short way and you'll see a set of stairs to your left.
They'll lead you to the path you need.
If I remember correctly there are a set of stairs that lead down to the ground off of the bridge. I just finished that quest and had a great time with it, enjoy!
Thanks for the answer, I will do some quests to see if that trigger the call.
On chapter 8 and abosolute love this game. The cutscene transition and story can be off at times yet it's able to follow enough but the soundtrack, characters, combat, exploration, and the story deliver via dialog and world exploration is all fucking sublime!
God I wish there ways a menu for when you talk to cid...like when you go to a shop buy stuff
That's not going to happen. Leveling up absolutely makes things easier but you won't be running around one-shotting everything. My party is level 70 with some endgame gear and I don't think I can even one-shot level 25 monsters.I wish I didn't feel rushed by the game. After just a few hunts appropriate for my level and a few side quests, and just the first two Royal Arms dungeons .. I am am level 22 and on chapter 3. Makes me sad.

LOool noctis' joke about.titan not missing leg day
The humor between the four is something im thankful they got right.
i was complaining how easy i find the game, because so far I got like 5-6 real challenge hunt top, with all my confident i've try coeurl Hunt level 34 whit 5 of them (this is a rank 3). I already beat around that level other hunt with little to no problem....
got destroy.... i mean.... it was impossible to do anything... i got obliterate, all my party was dying in a fraction of second. Tell me other hunt later are like that ? because it was amazing ! I can't wait to upgrade enough to try it again.
I just found the FFXI tracks. Listening to them while exploring dungeons is soooo goood.

The impact of leveling up seems rather low too, doesn't it? I feel like command of the combat is by far the most important thing along with high damage gear. What does leveling up even do? It increases HP and MP and if you take the according perks, it increased Vit and Magic by 1 per level or am I missing something? The game has no manual so I can only guess.
this game REALLY feels like a single player MMORPG
Something is wrong if you are only level 9 after 8 hours. I was close to 20 by that time and by 16 hours I was 35 and I didn't even do tons of side missions.
Imo you probably skipped on a lot of side missions, just talk to more people do hunts thst are your level. The game tells you how much XP/Gil you get out of each mission/hunt...do the ones that will benefit you the most but also consider your own level. Also change your weapons and buy new ones....you can take down enemies that are 3 level above yours relatively comfortably.
If you are using the Royal Arm then that consumes health with each hit. You also need to dodge and defend more because most likely you aren't doing it often. Also parry and use techniques whenever you can.
The other thing you need to consider is that damage number and speed aren't the only characteristics of a weapon. A piercing weapon like Pole might do more damage against a certain enemy than a sword and etc etc so you need to experiment and figure it out. When you are fighting tough enemies it all comes down to doong bonus damage via techniques, blindside (hitting from back after dodge rolling behind them) or stunning them and then attacking them.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
I have to do an entire dungeon over again and I was so happy that it was almost over
Over-leveled my ass, I got destroyed by the boss several levels below me. Not being able to save in dungeons is fucking bullshit.

Dat old school JRPG philosophy. I hope it's at least better than FFXII.
Been posted.Posted already?
Kotaku posted a scripted prologue for FFXV that's worth a read. Really should have been in the game to begin with though. Really helps set up the story before the road trip begins.
