It's random. I got it during a hotel stay at an outpost in Duscae
Or if not random, there are multiple locations.

So, I kept playing even though I found the first few hours to be quite boring. I also got used to the so-so voice acting and subpar writting and now I am genuinely enjoying the game... a lot. It kinda clicked with me after 7 hours or so; it helps when you get past the boring fetch quests of the beginning (and once you unlock the chocobos) learning skills, buying better gear and "mastering" the combat mechanics.
Hopefully it will keep getting better!

Do you have to park in a parking spot to have it be a fast travel point or just ride by it?
Anyone experiencing weird enemy spawns? I'll just be running in an empty area and monsters will spawn on top of me. Another one I've noticed is a lamp in a tunnel will load slower than the rest and trigger the night time monsters then the light loads and they disappear. This one's annoying because it stops the car.
Just ride by it. Or alternatively, talk to a restaurant owner and they can add it to your map.

I'd consider it a step in the right direction for the series. Not something that should be universally praised but a bold step for the franchise that can rejuvenate it.
Your comment is weird as X is an incredible FF.
XV is a huge return to form and the best FF since X by a /long/ way.

It's fine. I come from a long time PC background with big thoughts about 60fps being the standard, and I'm not finding any issues.
Aparently I'm not sensitive to frame pacing issues if they are happening, bi trhe actual frames seem solid for the most part.
I know it will get better, but boy is that opening Chapter boring and a really poor intro to the game. I'm also not particularly impressed with the graphics, playing on a Pro/4K. And maybe I'm just tiring of JRPG sensibilities, but the aesthetics are just so...corny. The female mechanic, everyone's stupid hair, the random, cornball southern american accents, the constant gasping during custscenes. Not feeling it at all, but I'll try to persevere.

Keep enough for crafting, sell enough to have Gil for supplies and equipment.
Chapter 3 here and having a hard time with this game. There's a lot I like about it but the side quest are so, so bad. Some of the worst I've seen in an open world game. The main quests so far aren't much better but at this point I think I'm going to have to ignore my OCD with completing every quest and instead just stick to the main quests.
Also, so far the open world is so boring. They went for scope over detail so we're just left with wide open areas with nothing interesting in except for 1-3 "set piece" structures for mood. Pretty much any Ubisoft open-world destroys this as far as visual interest, variety, and detail goes.

For some reason just talking to the owner and adding it to my map doesn't let me fast travel there. Only ones I've been to let me so that.
Upgrade the team work tree, unlock two accessories. You can make them more effective.
Weird. I can definitely fast travel to the ones I haven't physically been to.
Dumb question but you are trying to fast travel using the car's auto drive right
Holy crap I am having so much fun with this game, I really don't think any game the last years have made me want to play a game. I am taking my time and am now in chapter 5 after 25 hours, level 39 and getting better and better with the combat. I see that many of you don't like the sparse story, but I find i to be good enough and far more interesting than The Witcher 3 which seems like everyone's favorite here. By far the GOTY, but also GOTG for me. No matter how much it falls apart in the later chapter (if it even does) going back to the open world and just running around finding new interesting spots/enemies/dungeons is just so much fun.
Ranking the FFs (that I played when they were released) right now. FFVII, FFXV, FFXII, FFIX, FFVIII.

What I like most about FFXV right now is randomly getting into battles with high leveled monsters. I love these hunts....brings back memories of FFXII.
Side note: Never knew how much I liked XII until I played XV. Definitely looking forward to getting the Zodiac edition.

You know, I really like that you can go back to the open world at any time after the "transition", I guess you'd call it, to the more linear part of the game, but it's kinda awkward (MASSIVE CHAPTER 9/10 SPOILERS HERE)
. I understand there's no way they could do it and have it make sense, though. Price you pay for years of development hell, I guess.

There is a level 53 Griffin in Duscae along with Level 53 Midgar Zolom. I know about the Bandersnatch but it is not really Level 53.
Any other high level enemies you encountered?

Completely fine to me, no major drops so far. I can't really see the frame pacing, but that seems to be a problem with other people.
You're having problems with combat? It's definitely not hat hard that you should be switching to easy.
What issues are you having specifically? We might be able to help.
Or is it just that particular mission?

I love this screenshot I took earlier. Driving up to this completely out-of-the-way outpost in the middle of the night, with all the rain and fog, just looked super awesome. Had to get a shot of it.
It's this way because it leaves you invincible for the time the animation plays out. You're supposed to abuse this feature when battles get hectic.
Ha, this game can be so damn charming at times.
