Don't lock on to him, hold the attack button and manually aim at the barrels and then let go of the button when he gets near it.
When you say manually aim at the barrels, does that mean point the camera in their vague direction and hope for best?

I do, they always miss, I somehow keep using it without having it selected and run out before I can barely touch him. He runs at me and wipes me out, dodge and parry never works and I die. Basically I am shit.
Is the mountain in Cleigne an optional quest? Cus I am inwithout ever going there?Altissa and they let me cross the sea

Welp.
Protip for people in side dungeons just exploring: MINECARTS. Watch out.
Scared the fuck out of me.
What are some good magical combinations? I got a dual fire but that's the most powerful I have come up with.
Also, when I fight I hold down O and change my attacks with the left analogue. Am I doing it right?
No, when you hold the button a big ball appears that tells you exactly where you're aiming.
No need to hope for the best, when fire is near those barrels they always explode and do heavy damage.
Is Daemon the FFXV word for any enemy or does it refer to only specific enemies?
Not sure, didn't use it that much and didn't notice a huge boost.
As someone who has ignored magic entirely so far, would you mind explaining what the process is for doing this?

Is there a way to select specific summon?
Fuck.. I thought everything in the "Treasures" tab was just junk to sell for money...
Holy shit at this mama mia!!!first, check how many DEBASED COINS you have. you'll need 24.
next, make a spell of 1 fire and 24 debased coins.

I didn't notice did? Are these encounters missable? It refers to those monsters that tend to appear in dungeons and at night. Examples of daemons are Iron Knights, goblins and Flans. Regular monsters are not seen as daemons, and include the Garulas and the Rhino monsters (can't recall their real name right now). Of course, as you see in the first chapter,Some monsters seem to have some daemon corruption like that rhino monster boss, but generally they are split quite clearly.
Is there a way to select specific summon?
No, it is decided based on your surroundings, but I couldn't say what the specific conditions are.

I see, probablyand green areasrocks Titan.Ramuh
Yeh, this is strange for me too. From what I remember, they worked great in Episode Duscae when it comes to revival but not so much in the final game. Thanks AI. Thanks for not reviving me as I was walking around at 0 HP for an actual fucking minute. I really should stop trying to rely on the game's completely inconsistent and stupid AI for help.
ALWAYS stock up on potions. They're only 50 gill a pop and you can always revive anyone who's down ASAP and it also heals a lot more than a normal revive. Thanks AI. Dont want this game to end, games with this level if immersion dont come round often. I bought the season pass which is rare for me.
What are you even doing in a level 50+ dungeon that early?Wow so Costlemark Tower huh?.... That's... ummm.... well.... Awful, just awful. I'll come back later I guess. Nothing but heaps of enemies in tiny spaces. I guess they didn't have time to adjust the AI to the encounters they made. So many times the AI just makes no attempt at all to try and defend itself. Pretty frustrating
Time to bank my exp and finally end chapter 3 I guess
It isn't?....lol
By far the least fun I had with the game was that dungeon, even moreso than the infamous Chapter 13. The further you go into CT the worse it gets as well.Wow so Costlemark Tower huh?.... I believe you have to simply have to hold it down. Be sure to stay away from enemies as I think getting hit resets the timer.Tried searching, but hard to find what I'm looking for.
So that purple light and the dramatic music that happens in combat sometimes, is that related to summons?
And how do I even summon? Managed to do it once, when the L2 indicator showed up, but other times when it did, nothing happened.
Game is awesome, but could have used a database with all gameplay elements.
WTH Ronin... Died 5 times already
Any tips to defeat him? He always one-shotted me...
Castlemark is when you realize how assholish the developers are willing to be. The Super Dungeons are when they're flaunting it.

You'd think they'd at some point prioritize reviving you over random fighting.
Oh, I have tons of potions, I just didn't deem it necessary at the moment and would constantly walk up to friendlies and whatnot, but they'd just keep sprint away from me and fight enemies instead.
