OKay, I'm watching a lets play of it right now, since I don't have the cash and mostly just care about the visuals/story, not hte gameplay, but I have to ask.
Did the game really open with "Stand by me" while the characters can't stfu while pushing the car?
Where can I get a Glass Gemstone ;-; ?
Me too lol, I even forgot how it should be pronounced again now. XDSo I just discovered that I've apparently been pronouncing Ramuh wrong my entire life. I always thought it was Ram-oo...
just me? lol
It has anything worthwhile? Any unique attacks or effects?I don't know why people are bothering with the Cid quests. The Ultima Blade is shit.

I remember the food but don't remember the place. Where was it?I feel bad for all the people I've seen posting about hours of farming. Got it on my second try, the food that gives 50% drop rate just too good.

I already watched Kingsglaive once, months ago before the game's release. It just doesn't work as a standalone film but now that I've actually played the game past the first chapter, I actually understand where it fits in the overall story now and also it's place within it.
If I treat Kingsglaive as a roughly 2 hours long extended cutscene which fits between chapters 1 and 2, but which was obviously way too long to be stuffed into the game itself, it makes perfect sense.
The quality of CGI throughout Kingsglaive is absolutely exquisite too so it's hard to be mad at something that tries as hard as Kingsglaive does. Whatever failings it has, it's not because it's fundamentally a bad film. It's because it has to fit within the confines of a larger story yet also tell a complete story that attempts to be cohesive within the larger story. When this is taken into account, the many issues with the script seem much more forgivable.
Besides, that final sequence is pretty amazing. The obvious limits of the script and plot as glaring as they were, for the final set piece they pretty much were like fuck it, let's at least make this last fight sequence fucking ridiculous and awesome. It's like they combined Pacific Rim and Advent Children into one gigantic CGI orgasm.
If his tasks were remotely time consuming you'd have a point but they are not. Getting the Ultima Blade is incredible simple cause you only need 1x item. If it was something lengthy like the Tournseol from FFXII then you'd have a point but this is so simple that it's worth it.I don't know why people are bothering with the Cid quests. The Ultima Blade is shit.
I don't think so. There's flavor text about it absorbing the elements of fallen enemies but I've never really seen it do that.It has anything worthwhile? Any unique attacks or effects?
Honestly I haven't been using the general swords that often. For 70% of cases the greatsword works wonders and the other 30% is usually best for daggers. What blade is the best most op one?
Ok, this is getting on my nerves.
Chapter 5 bug I'm guessing.
I need to summon, says Press L2, it's not triggering, wtf SE.

Stand still and hold it for ages. It's stupid, except for that one person in the thread who thinks it makes perfect sense.

Happened to me as well, think it was chapter 4 though. Ended up dying and then the summon magically appeared and one shotted the boss...
Don't need to stand still to activate it though, I'm always able to hold the button and walk around.Stand still and hold it for ages. It's stupid, except for that one person in the thread who thinks it makes perfect sense.
I believe you can find one in Lestallum.
I mean I got that much, but I guess my problem is I want to play this game like a character action game, but the camera gets in the way of that. Especially in some of the boss fights it's nearly impossible to tell what the fuck is going on, so I end up taking a lot of hits even if I can parry no problem.
I was thinking the same, but was afraid to post anything too positive about XIII.
Holy fuck, thank you. My friend had a bug with one of the later missions he told me, said he had to restart and had an hour of playtime lost.
Lol y'all were not kidding about how short some of these chapters were.
I'm in Chapter 3 after 8 hours but I feel like I didn't do much in all this time... mostly running in empty spaces...
So now I decided to go on a bit with the story and leave the subquest after I get a chocobo to move faster!
The game looks fun, but the fights with many enemies are a bit of a mess without many abilities to hit more than one enemy at a time, but probably its because i'm at the beginning and will get more kind of attacks?
Oh goodshe dead
Chapter 9 boss is visually stunning but intensely boring. The Adamantoise battle is going to be this x100 isn't it?
Gladio turns from a bland character to straight up twat in chapter 10 wish game had a punch gladio button everytime he gobs off
So I've finished the game, and am wrapping up side quests, it's the first Final Fantasy I've finished and only the second one I've played -- I look forward to the 7 remake as my first experience with the well loved original.
Now the other Final Fantasy I played was 13, I probably got like a third through it and got stuck on a fight with a big Bulbasaur looking fucker. I'm thinking about going back to it, despite the linearity of it I had a reasonably good time with the game, is it worth going back to to see how the story plays out?

You dont know the half of it, sis.

Magic is the best AOE, Prompto has a tech called Gravisphere that pulls enemies in together, some bigger weapons hit in an arc, try out different attacks.

Oh gosh I'm level 61 now, sounds like hell.
Ok so I need to unlock that and figure out how to not kill all my party every time I use a magic attack...
I was 58. Took me two hours and no summons lol.

You can walk around. The only requirement is that you don't get hit.Stand still and hold it for ages. It's stupid, except for that one person in the thread who thinks it makes perfect sense.
