In the Pro is the lite mode supporting a dynamic resolution as well like in standard ps4? Or is it 1080p the entire time? DF video confused me.

How good is subtitles for incidental dialogue? Stuff like non-cutscene dialogue, does it have names attached to voices or will I have to learn voices if I play in japanese?

you've the option to see names or not see names in subtitles

sadly we don't have an option to make the subs bigger..they're freakishly small

Having a blast so far exploring the first area.

I really really fudged up when I didn't listen to them saying not to stay out at night, at least you can run from things though lol.

Can someone tell me (I probably missed it in the itutorial somehow) but what is the bar in the middle bottom of the screen? It's like a sword icon with a green bar below it?

Played for a couple of hours. Still getting used to the combat and controls so won't comment on that until I go a lot further, but overall the game has been pretty good thus far. The framepacing in particular is less noticeable on OG PS4 than I was worried about. (still there though)

Right now my main complaint is the Hud's size, especially the text. Wish we had the option for bigger font sizes.

Don't think it was mentioned during the tutorial but I'm guessing that it shows your buffs from eating/camping and how much time you have left before it runs out. I might be wrong though.

I have to say, the game looks far better than the screenshots led me to believe on OG PS4.
I'm still not sold on the music, although I'm only an hour in.

For the 'Search and Rescue' where the hell is the guy? I looked all around the blue ring on the map and no signs of the hunter.

Hiding by a boulder. Took me a while too. Why the fuck don't my teammates help search instead of following me!

Also, how do I abandon quests?

Any PRO owners can comment on performance using the highest mode? Is the frame rate/frame pacing pretty bad? I want to enjoy the game at it's best possible visuals/IQ, but if it is pretty bad frame rate/frame pacing I am not sure if I should wait. Has SE said anything about addressing these issues?

Yeah I have no idea why alot of modern open world games on HD consoles keep falling for the micro font. Xenoblade Chronicles X, Nioh, and now FFXV.

Didn't they say a patch is coming in December to make it better?

It's honestly not that bad imo. But I'm using lite for now. Still looks great.

sure! it's also better for watching blu-rays/netflix and well gaming in general to deactivate it imho.

japanese with german texts. FF is probably the only game I enjoy to play with german text..exception for FFXI and FFXIV

Still trying to decide about buying this game or not but waiting for people to comment on the emotional resonance this game has if any. Does it make you feel good? Does it evoke emotions? I mean I only played FF7 and FF8 back in the day and they were charming to me. Does this FEEL like that?

Don't forget Witcher 3. That game was destroying my eyes before one of patches gave us an option for bigger fonts. I really hope SE does the same with XV.

VIII is my favorite, I will say this XV might have the best ending of the series. It's a fun flawed game.
