So I played some Justice Monster 5... And I just kept going, expecting that at some point the difficulty would catch up to me and I'd get a clean game over. After clearing several stages with every enemy at lv.99 with no noticeable increase in the enemy patters or anything like that, I just went fuck it and played very carelessly. I still netted about 300k more score just button smashing. At least I got a nice accessory for it.

Possibly silly question but how do I access my DLC in game ? I see them all in the in-game inventory tab but have no idea what to do with them..

.. also where do you purchase a walkman to take the music with you on the go ?

Just gonna comment this here: watched a live stream today from the game, a post game dungeon. That dungeon alone almost made me buy the game, and I'm not a fan of FFXV.

Haha what the fuck?

I'm loving the game if you need to know, just disappointed at the lack of outfits.

There are 4 sets total with variations, this has been confirmed by people who have beaten the game.

. . .and that means they discovered everything there was to discover. Ok.

Is there a place I can read a short summary of what I should know about the story before I jump into it?

Just read the plot summary for Kingsglaive on Wikipedia.
I can't get the Cid weapon upgrade quest to continue. I go to the location but he's not there... hmm.

If he's not sitting on his lawn chair, warp out and back in.

Streamed just over two hours this evening, it's a real fun, but weird video game! I'm glad they finally got this out and it isn't a massive shitshow, I consider that a huge win for the dev team! I do really love the look of the world and just out open the whole thing feels within just those first couple of hours. I can tell there'll be a lot of kickin' back in the car whilst Ignis drives, and that's fine by me if I've got all the old FF soundtracks to listen to!

I do feel like the game's framerate is barely holding onto life at some points though (running on an OG PS4 here). It stays more than playable ~90% of the time, but it gets pretty rickety at points!

It's people just shoved the disc into their PS4's (after first jamming it into their Wii U's and raging about why their discs didn't work) and ignored EVERYTHING that the game told them.

I also did the tutorial but was stuck on that screen for about 2 minutes fucking around until I saw that it had a craft selection under it. I don't remember the tutorial being too clear about that.

So I'm still in chapter 1 and I've collected a lot of the mineral deposits for different car colors and effects like Gold Dust and Whitestone Shard's etc, but how do I actually use them? When I go to Hammerhead Cindy doesn't have extra options for colors so do I have to craft them myself somehow?

Popped in the disc and played a good deal of Chapter 1.

I'm not compelled by this game at all. First I feel like it's technically a mess. The frame-pacing issues make this game feel anything but smooth. The weird textures in the character models/environment come off as distracting.

.

I may not be that hard on it lol. But it does indeed have a large number of issues across all plats.

I did the exact same. It really wasn't clear at all.

Most of the screens (if not all of them) have a tutorial on the page. The tutorial section also opens up as you progress the story.

That moment when someone is in a life threatening situation but only calls out for help once, so you spend an entire evening looking for them.

Still loved it though.

Can anyone else in Chapter 1 confirm if the
Bandersnatch
is still in that circular area a bit north-east of Hammerhead?

When I go there there's just a random Sabretusk there instead.

Which from what I remember in Judgement Disc demo that was a bug or something that spawns that wrong monster in.

quoting for new page:

I'm playing with the Japanese voices, I'm a fan of some of the VAs. As far as I can tell everything the main characters sat is subbed, the only thing I haven't seen subbed so far is when you go to talk to the tipsters and initially interact with them.

Was definitely there for me. Assuming it's the same spot. Didn't look at any Judgment stuff, but it was a big circular area.

so a weird thing happened: i inserted the disc, waited for the install bar to finish, and then i checked for updates. showed a 9+ GB patch downloading.

when it was around 90% done is was downloading really slow so i paused it and waited a few seconds then resumed. i figured maybe the pause/resume trick would work and speed up the remainder of the download.

it sat there saying preparing to download (10%) for a few minutes then suddenly it disappeared and showed it was starting from scratch, but now the patch was only 423MB. i checked the game for update history but there was no option, and the info showed it was still version 1.00. the patch finished and now it's version 1.02.

what happened to the damn 9GB patch that was attempting to download earlier???

Loving the game so far. Just started Chapter 2.

Wish I hadnt sold all my scrap metal. Now I need to collect more for the drive spear upgrade lol.

Is this area with Hammerhead the main open world area or is there another one that you go to? Really wish there were more mobs running around to fight, still trying to learn the combat.

Thanks, that's good to hear. Apparently Brotherhood is only in Japanese, so if I end up getting used to the VAs there I might just continue with Japanese in the main game.

Still torn though, I'm hearing good things about the dub.

When did you go there?

I went after getting the Regalia but from what I've read of JD stuff it should be there at teh start of the game.

This is going to really suck if I have to abandon my saves and start new because of glitched spawns.

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Whoever made the fishing mini game needs to get physically hurt for 11 years

jesus fucking christ

this 9 GB patch is going to take the whole god damn night.

My PS4 is on rest mode and in 40 minutes it only downloaded 2.3 GB.

The fuck is with this speed. Guess I won't play this shit tonight.

I'm surprised by the combat, every time i'd seen it in videos it looked so all over the place and it does feel clunky in places but quite fun to control, just started so who knows how it will be further on. The open world so far seems a bit of a mash of different objects with no real layout of anything, but again very early.

The music is incredible, the remix in the tutorial, the new somnus theme, everything. Definitely the highlight for me so far.

I've grown attached to the Japanese cast actually for five years now. Still, I'm not sure if I'll lose some relation to the characters if I play it with a language that I don't understand.

I can turn my brain off when the Japanese voices come in. I really don't know what they're saying, but their tone and inflection sound great to me.
