Played for a few hours this evening and really enjoying it so far. Combat seems solid, enjoying the interactions between the characters. Off to a good start

It's not really a hopes kind of thing, as I don't even own FFXV. I only came in this thread because I was surprised at how it's utterly dominating my friends list. You never know of course and I usually don't factor something as vague as my friends list into my sales analysis but it really caught me by surprise

Okay I just had the most intense fight in this game so far.

Was doing a sidequest trying to
rescue a wounded chocobo when Iron Giants, Goblins and Imperial Soldiers starting coming from fucking everywhere.

I'm trying not to because I've been burned on too many open world titles that started really strong but I ended up hating at the end. So far it's fantastic, but it's too early to get too happy about it.

We'll see in 40 hours how I feel about it.

Just reached Duscae and I got my Chocobos.

Holy shit, the visual upgrades they made to this game since Episode Duscae are MASSIVE. Everything looks so vibrant and alive. Vegetation density and quality of assets, lighting, weather... It's a world of difference from that demo! This is really one of the most beautiful games I've experienced this generation.

Loving every second of this game. I just cannot stop playing it.

Brotherhood is arguably more important. Each and every one of ur companions are way more endearing.

There are so many people on my friends list playing this game right now. I can't tell you the last time I've seen my friends list so heavily populated with people playing one game.

Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me.

I've been to two different areas for hard hunts, but each time I go there, there are no enemies. Both hunts say they show at at all hours, do I just have to check randomly throughout a day, or do I need to do something to trigger the enemies?

So I wandered into the restaurant in the first town you go into and wander over to a pinball machine thing and 54 minutes later (approx 50% of my total playtime with FFXV so far) I finished playing Justice Monster Five for the last time in my life.

What an incredibly boring and shallow minigame. It was almost impossible to die. I was reading my phone and tapping X intermittently and was getting potions/HP ups constantly. I didn't want to just quit, because I wasn't sure if I'd get the trophy or the item, and at that point I wasn't going to make it all for nothing.

I'll be getting the game tomorrow, but I read that I had to watch the anime and movie to understand the game's story? Seems pretty dumb if true.
Anyway I just watched the anime, and Prompto's episode made him look like a loser who deserves to get his ass beat. A stalker and a guy who spends his day sniffing an envelope.

True, but like others have said, the suspense that would have built up without knowing the kingsglaive events would have been nice.

I still enjoyed the heck out of kingsglaive though. The world building they did in that 2 hour span was amazing.

Tried ''Wait mode" tonight and I think I will leave it on that until I am use to the combat a bit more...on my first hunt,I had 2 men down and didnt notice it right away lol...there's a lot to look at and check,especially on those coyote looking animals that run all over the place non stop...

I also tried High resolution on the PRO and my 1080p set and noticed more lag and pop-ups and what not so back to Lite it went.

Im stuck on the hunt Peace to the Beach. I've tried reloading the area, doing ither quests, different times of day; I can't seem to get these guys to come up! I got the quest at Galdin Quay.

I feel like both of these statements are right...lol.

I have seen a lot of commercials for it on ESPN, Cartoon Network and during the various football games...so they can't say they didn't advertise it.

and if the delays from amazon are stock based..then that is "good" in a way ,no?

I am still waiting on my copy so IDK if I'll even like it but damn I want it to well so AAA JRPGs are seen a viable thing.

Lol. Finally got my box, now I'm sitting here watching PSN's behavior on my router's bandwidth monitor. Sony hasn't improved this shit at all since the PS3, have they. Yeesh. :[

I knew I could find the enjoyment in this game, but I am loving the brotrip aspect. I always shook my head at it before, but it's so fun and chill traveling with muh bros and hearing their banter and comments. Now I've only had a chance to play a very little bit of the game, but I'm still really loving it!
