What exactly are the contents of the Travel Pack and the Gourmand Set?
I think the 50% off coupon for Gas and Sleeping is part of the Travel Pack, but is there more? And what does the Gourmand Set add?

I'm trying to do the Howling Wind of Hunger hunt (first hunt in the game) and the area is completely empty. Do I have to wait for them to spawn or something?

edit: Nvm I went to the main menu and loaded and they spawned.

Wait wtf went through a long dungeon on the main story and got to the boss. My screen glitches out and goes black but I can see my HUD. I die on purpose... accept load save and it's my manual save outside the dungeon. WTF! Does it not autosave inside?

Okay I just had the most intense fight in this game so far.

Was doing a sidequest trying to
rescue a wounded chocobo when Iron Giants, Goblins and Imperial Soldiers starting coming from fucking everywhere.

Here's the video.

I love this game.

Awesome video :)

Showcases why I'm loving the open world / exploration aspect about the game. You can just be doing a random run of the mill quest when the next thing you hear is an enemy airship above your head with lv40+ enemies dropping down ready to stop you at any cost. Also, I love the noise the daemons make at night as the erupt from the ground... Good stuff.

(PS4) How do you equip or change a ascension ability you've unlocked? Like I unlocked the Group Up ability by Ignis but can't figure out how to you it or equip it. When I trigger his ability he always does this pistol attack.

How is not everyone freaking out about this game? I'm an hour in and it's incredible
My thoughts exactly. Granted I've been a FF faithful since SNES days, but franchise biases and metacritic influences aside I do feel like this game is going to be enjoyable to play through.

I hope everyone with shipping issues gets them resolved soon!

Wandered into a rando dungeon and got my shit pushed in by some level 52 Samurai looking prick.

7 hours and on chapter 3. Really digging this. When the combat gels it's damn good stuff but it can be a tad hectic. Absolutely love the characters and their interactions and the music is decent too. Dungeons are rad as hell and some are legit creepy.

Man, I'm really happy & excited - I still can't believe I'm actually finally playing the game (or at least a partial version of it) that I've waited for since 2006! Finally got the game & Patch 1.02 installed about an hour ago. Started off going through the tutorials & then played for about 40 minutes before putting it down for tonight as I'm getting sleepy. Really enjoying the crew's interactions so far though!

I think there's a point with story where you know you're invested and got at least a basic idea of what's going on. There's still questions but I figure they'll be answered later on.

Btw, is there a list of hidden dungeons (if there are any)?

What does this even mean?

If they meant you don't need to play any other FF games to enjoy FF15, it's been like this since FF1 (excluding sequels X-2, XIII-2 etc). You don't need to play any other numbered FF games first to enjoy the next one.

The irony is, it is precisely NOT enough to just play the game in order to get the whole story - you need to watch animes, CGI movies, etc.

Any reason I shouldn't be staying at lodgings instead of campgrounds. You get exp bonus at lodgings and they're kinda everywhere form what little I've played.

any tip when fighting a lot of enemies at once? seems so easy to get overwhelmed
I think pacing yourself is important, prepare to phase and dodge more than attack until you whittle down their numbers. Try to go for the isolated ones and dont forget your greatsword does aoe damage.

Is it really a long time before you can return to the first area
after the boat
? Not sure if I should spend more time in the first area or move on.

Dont hard lock on unless you're about to warp to a specifc enemy. My key advice is to learn to switch between soft and hard lock on. Positioning is key plus knowing which weapons to use, when you knock them down switch to greatsword for extra dmg

Blizzard is a wonderful AoE spell. It's pretty much the only magic I use.

Warp in and out.

Greatsword is AoE.

Your partner attacks make you invincible, so if you get in a tough spot, use one and get out when you can.
