It has absolutely changed. 5 hours into the JD demo I had done several sidequests and all the monster hunts, and fought a couple of the harder night monsters and was barely Lv. 8. Same amount of time into the full game, same amount of sidequests, no night monsters, and only 3 or 4 hunts and I'm Lv. 11.

So yeah, I'm absolutely convinced they cranked up the XP gain, for...some reason. I hate outleveling content in games like this, and this only makes that even more of a problem.

... Same... i'm not happy at all with this change... i fear it actually tuned down the challenge the game was suppose to offer... where is the hard mode ? a future DLC ?

I bought a ps4 pro for this game literally because of this reason. Mine went overdrive for like every game so I knew this would blow it away.

Even with only a regular PS4 it should be a no brainer. If only get this for Xbox if I had no other choice.

I'd say any dedicated audio system, there's more dynamic range in that mode I think.

I find it odd that in patch 1.01 I could save 250 photos taken by Prompto, but in patch 1.02 I can save only 150...

Put five hours in still in the judgment demo area, I'm most certainly gonna put a lot of hours in this game, maybe the first game I try to platinum. I haven't progressed anywhere in the story, but I'm loving the combat and characters, game looks amazing on my PS4 Pro with hdr.

Beating Ifrit has to be on normal

My advice if you have it on easy is to create a save file at the start of each chapter (I do that anyway)

That way if the Ifrit battle sneaks up on you, you've only got to go back to that one save file and re-do the fight on normal.



Hold Square when you see an enemy winding up to hit you.
Square is dodge/parry. L1 only calls in your friends to do hits.

Oh whoops, forgot I was playing w/ Type B controls. I am holding dodge/parry, but I feel like I shouldn't be holding dodge + lock-on for the whole of a fight.

lol, yeah my PS4 was having none of it. It initially said I was 24gb short, but I had to delete 80gb before it would install. I think it likes to wind me up.

The platinum on this game is ridiculously easy.

The only one that's time consuming to get is survival rank 10 which just means walking around loads.

As of yesterday it was the only trophy nobody had achieved.

After the patch the photos are also not displayed in full 1080p anymore and have fat black bars around them. I wonder if that was intentional to make them look more like photos in an album/a gallery or if it is a bug. :/

That´s OK, since I wont have both versions running side by side it wont matter to me.

This is the kind of game you play for hours and I just don´t want to risk my PS4 turning into a hairdryer - it´s gotten pretty loud recently.

BTW: Is there a PC version on the horizon maybe?

This is such a huge let down. I do hope they release more DLC outfits or patch some in. Not sure why they even bothered with such slim choices.

Disappointed with that. The clothes you begin with are cool, but kinda limited. A bigger variety was a no brainer for me.
