Made my way through about 85% of the dungeon, and then the tonberries. Oh god the tonberries. No. Nope. Never again. That was the worst. Literally. It was literally the worst.
I'm on Chapter 6, doing the Imperial Infiltration mission
For Jared!
, and something's screwed up.
I tailed and subdued that guy, and was on my way to regroup with Prompto and Gladio. I did a warp strike on one of those big mechs, Noctis and the mech vanished, the screen turned white, and now when I press O to warp strike I force a load screen to happen.
The post game content in the game is great so far, i tought i was goig to stop playing after finishing the story, but I have been hooked to it ever since!
I recently discovered an items that can create more powerful magic, i crafted one called electron, is there any other good crafting combo like this one? I saw one that give me a level 99 death spell, not sure how effective are these.
I have a chance to get the day 1 edition for 30€ today but I'm not sure If i should wait for the patched GOTY version which surely will come later this year.
Got a PS4 amateur and saw a couple of people suggesting to wait for the "fixed" game in other threads in the last 2 months or so.
This game is a mixed bag for me. I really like the music, graphics, voice acting, and overall feel and atmosphere of the game, but lord running through the world is a chore. Also, the controls seem very unresponsive at times. It also seems kinda easy(I chose normal difficulty).
Either way, next time its on sale I'm picking it up, More positives than negatives for me.
It's taken me ages and I already spoiled myself on the ending beforehand anyway, but I finally beat XV yesterday and I just can't get it out of my head, so that's a sign of a special one right there.

Did the cactuar timed quest a few times. Pretty good for a good chunk of EXP. Gonna do it a few more times to power level myself from 91. I really dig this idea of timed quests in the game. Really novel idea.
Edit: Plus these little bastards can be pretty rough when they gang up on you. They can provide a decent challenge even at level 85.

I did go back to it, after adding a few more levels and unlocking the third accessory slot for Noctis. Not nearly as bad at a higher level, but something still never felt right with the dodge and parry on those guys. I always seemed off on my timing. In any event, Steyliff is cleared whew.
Obtaining the Black Hood is next. Seems I may have done that in the wrong order lol.
On the topic of those Tonberries, can you exit the Steyliff Menace to replenish supplies without everything resetting? Those guys drained my potions quite a bit :/
I reached the infamous chapter 13 last night, and so far I'm not seeing why it's so vocally despised.
I've just
rescued Prompto and turned off the machine that was stopping me from using my powers
, and aside from the fact that it's a fairly long chapter, it doesn't seem to be doing anything overly offensive so far. I guess it's kinda jarring when you come off a series of very short chapters to have something so long, and I feel like it wouldn't be so bad if the overall game was longer, but it's been enjoyable so far.
I don't think they did themselves any favours though, because there are a lot of locked doors that I've not been going through, so I've been reaching a floor, seeing like 3 or 4 locked doors, and only going through 2. The area with
the big giant
is especially guilty of this. I guess there's a possibility I'll be heading back there, but when you first go there, you only need to explore a small area, even though there's a big area that you can explore/is blocked off for potential further exploration.
Lv1 playthrough complete. Holy fuck Ch13 was annoying this time (I didn't mind it much playing normally, but having such a shit magic stat makes the beginning part drag on).

Unfortunately no. Once you leave, the spawns reset. Treasures seem to as well, at least the more general items, so there's some reward for starting back at the beginning.
Oddly enough, the last maybe eight floors are actually quite easy, including the boss, so if you can get past the three or four master tonberry floors, you'll probably be ok to just finish the dungeon out.
Good thing King's Tale appeared for free cause there was a snowball's chance in hell I would ever give Gamestop any money. Sort of figured it would show up as $5~$10 DLC, so free is a nice surprise.

Yeah I know. All this BS this being a GAME(UK retailer) exclusive. I knew they would release it. Same as the pre-order DLC you can buy now for super cheap. 0.39p or something.

Would anyone be up for a NeoGAF FFXV Combo video? Just to give a bit of a insight into what this is. CMVs are Combo Music Videos. They're videos usually from spectacle fighters/hack n slash games where players make stylish looking combos to music.
They can be from any game that you think can be entertaining, skillful and stylish to watch. Games often within these are DMC, Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden. However this does often branch out to others including Vanquish, Viewtiful Joe, God Hand, [insert Platinum Game(yes, even Transformers: Devastation)] and many many more. In the case of FFXV, it does have an incredible combat system which makes for stylish looking videos that I've been trying to show case. Here are some examples:
I don't expect FFXV to have the same level of playerbase, but would people in interested in submitting a few videos for a NeoGAF FFXV Community Combo Video? I'm not looking for super skilled players, just people wanting to show something off. If there's enough interest, I'll set this up similar to the DMC:SE video. If you check out the post I linked, it'll be the exact same premise. Either response to this or PM me if you're interested. I think it'll fun for us to work on something while we wait for more DLC and such.
I bought the game on Day 1 and I haven't played it yet, I was waiting for this DLC that's supposedly going to fix w/e Chapter 13 is. Is it ok for me to play? I plan on getting some games next week (Horizon, Yakuza 0 and Nioh) but beforehand, I wonder if I should try this out. I can wait a week if not.

I think the chapter 13 patch is out later this month, but it's honestly not a big enough problem that it should stop you from playing the game. Like, it's a 2-3 hour chapter that plays sort of differently than the rest of the game for about half an hour. My main problem is that it feels long due to the length of it compared to the rest of the game, especially due to the fact that a few of the chapters beforehand are all quite short.
Anyways, I'm up to chapter
14
now, and have
reached Hammerhead, and been informed that I should stock up on things because I'm potentially at the point of no return
. How long do I have left now? I'm not sure whether I should try and finish it after work, or just wait until Saturday, and play Horizon in the meantime.

You won't be able to return to that future Hammerhead ever once you leave its gates (and it'll tell you that when you try to leave as well). But you can return to the regular game at just about any time beyond that, just not to THAT location, as long as you don't enter the place where the last boss is.

Yeah I think so. There are quite a few high level enemies around there but they can be skipped I think. The cutscenes and boss fights are fairly long though.

Oooh I see, I went to the beach and climbed a grassy hill instead, damn.
Almost 4 hours later, Steyliff Menace is done!! Luckily I found out that I had over 90 mega-elixirs and stuff so items weren't a problem. Would've helped to know sooner that Tonberries are pretty weak to greatswords as well The later areas got completely wrecked partly thanks to limit breaks on links.
have they said anything about fixing/locking the damn framerate for the pro version? It is pretty unbelievable that they manged to completely fuck up this game.
