Why aren't you using Morgan?

I haven't settled on a woman yet.
I'm a terrible person, I know.

FINALLY my copy got shipped. Although I've played five FE's before I'm starting on Normal in classic-mode this time, and will probably replay it on a difficult setting.
I imagine that classic would be really hard, I mean I lose units fast on casual, it doesn't sound very fun.
It's fun to come up with the perfect strategy to keep all your characters alive.

Has anyone done a number crunch on how much all the DLC costs together?
Need to know before I get a Wii points card.
But why a Wii points card? You know those are useless for the 3DS, right?

Or whatever the card is that you can use for 3DS. That's how I got FE:A from the Eshop.
$50.50 plus whatever the last DLC costs.
Not that it's a particularly good value. You could get just Limit Break, Paragon, Bride, Dread Fighter, and the Golden Pack from the first season, plus all the second season, and that would be $36.50 plus the last DLC, and you wouldn't be missing much.
As far as the kids, I pretty much use Kjelle and Severa the most, as after seeing their supports I don't have the heart to separate them.
Buying all the dlc
Has no regrets.
I haven't used Morgan (female) yet,, what's so good about her?

L+R+Start to restart.
S rank is marriage.
I bought the game 2 weeks ago and 10 hours into the game in chapter 14.
I just wanted to know from you guys how often did you turn off your 3DS to "save" a fellow companion who was killed in action ?
Okay maybe I'm going crazy but do story missions scale with level? I ask because I was doing the one where you climb the tree (holy shit that was a nightmare on hard, especially for no deaths classic) and my first action was to rush my new Swordmaster to dice up a dude, just barely killing him. Then I forgot that my Chrom was maxed out and I didn't upgrade him to Great Lord. So I restarted after upgrading and all of a sudden my Swordmaster couldn't one shot the same guy anymore.
I believe they don't scale depending on what levels your party members are.
I don't think they scale either, but as far as I've seen, there are slight variances in unit stats. So if one more speed or defense is enough to prevent a double attack or a kill, sometimes resetting the game throws that off.
So just advancements? Or is purely static, cause I might need to grind some wireless battles otherwise.
I think there might be times enemy equipment gets shuffled around as well.
This, however, I don't think is the case. Or if it is there it only happens with a handful of enemies since I know some (and not just bosses) are always the same.
So I read somewhere a recommendation on how you should level and class your characters based on whether you need the skills. It was basically interested in keeping the external level down.
Also I'm looking for advice on my couplings
Chrom and Sumia (Already happened)
Virion and Cherche (Already happened)
MU and Nowi (Already decided on)
Gregor and Panne (I'm pretty sure I am going to go with this)
Cordelia and Stahl, Lon qu, or Gauis?
Tharja and Ricken or Henry?
Miriel and Ricken or Henry?
Merribelle and Ricken or someone else?
Lissa and Libra?
Sully and Vaike?
Olivia and?
Pair him up with kellam. That feeling when you are down to the last few enemy units and you've been playing perfectly, and then one of your units dies...
Donnel is such a pain in the fucking ass to level.

I'm on like the fifth story chapter and I am getting my ass handed to me. Any general tips to not suck? (not for this level but just general n00b tips)

That map makes you think about things. Really, you need to charge some units north to help the allies north-east retreat. If you got the rescue staff in side story 1 that can help you here.I'm on like the fifth story chapter and I am getting my ass handed to me. Any general tips to not suck? ......and no I will not play on casual
Awful. Donnel is a good investment in the long run but there's too many good units to justify leveling him. Well, I did it the first time, but it's too much of a chore.
Meh, I want to give the farm boy a chance.
Also is it stupid to level my Avatar out of Tactician? I've basically solidified his role as the magic user paired with Chrom's swordsmanship.
level with up with any available side stuff, also utilize pair ups. Try to find good combos.I'm on like the fifth story chapter and I am getting my ass handed to me. Any general tips to not suck? (not for this level but just general n00b tips)

If you've played 5 FE games before don't be surprised if you find normal mode to be a total cakewalk.
Level up the country boy. He's capable of great things
Not at all. Change your class to pick up new skills and gain more stats!
Speaking of which, what characters are "the children" I keep hearing so much about? Some of these female characters look pretty fucking young. Is Maribelle a child? Lisse/Lissa?
Only really small child I've come across is that mage kid, but meh.
Is it dumb not to use Frederick? He's so clearly above and beyond all my other units at this point I'm worried there's going to be an unavoidable story death to just fuck over new players who over-relied on him.

Even then the wyverns will keep the pressure on.
As for keeping the two allies alive. Use the X button to see the enemy range. IIRC there is one safe square on turn 1, you can pain them up into that and then Maribelle will have enough movement to keep away from the northern units.
Its also a good idea to know yourself and your enemy. Basically know who can be double attacked and by what, who will not be able to take hits and who can. As was mentioned a few ports ago, enemy stats can change slightly from one run of a map to the next.
Yes unless its the promoted classes. Then its level 15And last major question for now, but you basically should take most classes only to level 10 and then class out?
