You can go counterclockwise before getting Hinoka since there is no time limit, saving that room for last if you really need the chest.

Use one of your expendable units that do not battle like Aqua or Elise to go take the 1/2 HP hit. Then after he uses it all go in and wipe out the map.

Debuff spells have low accuracy so there is a chance of it missing.

Is there a list of cast members I'm supposed to have?
I worry about these things. Or did you me Azura?

I just beat Chapter 21 of Conquest with everyone alive, and I got the Arms Scroll.

That was probably the hardest chapter ever. I spent hours changing up my strategy, and I realized that the solution was to bring extra Freeze staves. The Dragon Vein's were valuable, but it just wasn't enough.

I pretty much just rushed with Xander and other strong units. For offense, I had to use Attack Stance. It was only towards the very end that I needed Guard Stance to survive the onslaught.

This game still manages to be tough, even with my strong army. It is truly strategic.

Doing Birthright Paralogue 5 (Silas's kid). There's this squad of 6 neutral chump-ass villagers apparently charging bravely into battle... I'm pretty sure these idiots are going to get themselves killed and I don't think I can stop them. Stand back, you fools! I'm here to save you!

Finished with Birthright. On to Conquest. Feels like it was the right choice to start with birthright first, story wise. It's easier to understand how conflicted Corrin is when fighting her Nohr siblings and gives us time to grow to like the Hoshido characters. This way it'll hurt a little more going against them in Conquest. I probably wouldn't feel much about striking Sakura down if I didn't.

Elise for best sister. Nohr sisters >> Hoshido sisters.

I also went through the game without any child characters since I didn't think they'd make sense story wise. Despite wanting to marry my femCorrin off to notTharja initially, it was too much effort to train Hayato up. Why is Niles part of the main team but notTharja isn't?! And why the hell does it have to be Hayato of all people.

Child characters are extra creepy in this game because the child characters no longer have a chance to get older before having a kid.

You can probably get some new, shiny reward if they all survive, but that's way too much effort. I just let nature take its course

Who else is using the kids? Ophelia's personal weapon and personal skill allow her to crit like a boss, and Velouria is massacring everything that gets near her. Kana and Midori are pretty good support as well.

So, any tips on castles to use for grinding supports on Conquest? I've been looking around for some good ones, but haven't found one. Also, is there any way to know when you get a rank up, or do support points just keep increasing?

Also, finished Ch 12 today. First try I was suspicous of the free pot break and tried to work around them, but failed. Second I just busted them but forgot a few units in range of some of the more minor pots. A bit of a worrying rush to the finish, but I made it with both chests. Still a bit worried that my army is all around level 13 only with MU being the outlier at 16. Oh well, chapter 13 ahoy!

Your levels are great. Chapter 17/18 is the point where your main team should be promoted from level 20. Corrin should definitely be promoted after Chapter 15.

This is true for Hard/Classic at least.

Exactly. Which is why I'll be skipping them even though I kind of enjoyed them in Awakening.

I thought it was just that
the area they're in, time passes differently, so they're growing up at the same rate as normal but because time passes so much slower outside of that area, it seems like they grow up super fast?

It wouldn't make sense for younger characters like Hayato. Or Sakura. Or my dear Elise.

I'm going to be like Camilla in this aspect. No one is touching my baby sister.

I didn't mention her earlier for fear of spoiling but

I'm telling you all she's amazing. Throw her with Vantage/Vengeance/Warp/Other critical skills and a A/S pair up, she can basically wipe out an entire army at 1/2 HP on enemy turn.

She can have I think up to 70% critical, maybe more. She is a ridiculous unit if you make her right.

The problem comes with the
really young gen 1s
that are actually

Finally starting the game. So what do I need to know in terms of missable stuff? What chapters do I need to do something by a certain turn, are there any non-obvious enemy recruitments, stuff like that?

Have Odin marry Felicia then marry Odin's daughter.

You get twice the love, twice the royalty, everything is good.

Only two I can think of involve having a character recruit unit not Corrin and Corrin having an A Support with a unit by a certain chapter in order to keep them.

In my file Odin married Elise, then the Avatar married Ophelia. Basically, this happened. (Awakening/Fates spoilers, I guess)

Now should Kana marry Shigure, Siegbert or Forrest to keep everything royal?

y'know, somehow I got the idea that these games were like dating sim spinoffs or something. Don't ask.

But now that I know it's the legit sequel to Awakening, I'm pretty hyped. When's PAL release?

But in order for that to work, the young characters still have to have children in the normal time frame. Mozu is pushing out kids while looking as she does in game.

Yeah, I forgot about the Gen 1s. Oh well, I have to look past that -- need those high stat Gen 2s.

Just finished Birthright 25 Lunatic. My god that map was so cool, Ryoma solo'd about half of the enemies but deploying him correctly and managing everyone else was really tricky. Alternating between trying to kill as many of the reinforcements as possible while protecting characters, especially since the Great Knights and Dark Knights are really threatening and accurate against people not named Ryoma. Watching Ryoma solo the entire middle room in a single round. Watching Kaze fucking wreck anything wearing heavy armor. The music for this map was awesome, loved it. And then watching Ryoma ORKO the boss was just awesome.

Just really, really good. One of my favorite near-endgame maps I think I've ever played, really tense instead of just being a huge number of enemies slog.

I'm glad I stopped doing the kid's paralogues, though, I think getting the experience from 2-3 more maps would have sort of broken what makes this endgame so cool, with a lot of threatening enemies that most characters can't reliably ORKO and the ones that can (for me, Kaze and Hinoka) are still susceptible to being pounded by huge enemies. It really makes you abuse Guard Stance and position well or else you'll get overwhelmed, since Ryoma can't be everywhere at once (and even he has something of a limit, even though it's ridiculously high).

Oh also Shura SO GOOD, his decent damage lets him set up the death of armors for Corrin or Takumi and his 8 move + 2 range staffing is incredibly useful. He's also surprisingly bulky for what his class is. He totally kicks ass, you should definitely squeeze him into a lategame spot with Reina or Scarlet supporting him if neither are strong enough to lead.

Wow, Conquest isn't messing around! Playing through on Normal, chapter 8 (The ice one where you need to visit three villages) took more strategy than probably 80% of Birthright.

Btw speaking of Birthright, the final chapter music is such a hot jam.

Not using them as much as I did in Awakening. Midori and Selkie are solid and Asugi is slowly but surely becoming my main ninja. Sophie's been a bit of a bust. Speed is shite which is surprising since Hinata is her mom. Don't see any use for Shigure or Kiragi.
