how often to coaches get transferred like this.

it reminds me of when the Raiders traded their coach to the Bucs, then they met up in the Super Bowl the next season and the Bucs beat the fuck out of the Raiders.

Doesn't seem to happen too often.

Real paid Inter 8 million EUR (I believe) for José Mourinho.

BTW Villas-Boas > Gruden.

The people who rounded on England are all part of the same corrupt outfit. Any breakaway from FIFA would be down to the club sides, who don't think much of Blatter to begin with.

I think it was in The Mirror today that Park has said he is coming to the peak of his career and that he can only play this level for another two years and that he will retire at another club.

Very true, you could probably count the credible Twitter ITKs on one hand, and even then it's debatable. If I wanted I could easily set up a twitter account for a fake ITK and start throwing round rumours - someone somewhere will believe them. Last week somebody posted that Liverpool had made a bid for Messi, just to see if anyone was stupid enough to fall for it, sure enough someone was.

It's not official but from what I've been hearing/seeing and asking, it's pretty much confirmed. Our club is just trying to minor the damage.

Ecuador broke apart very bad in the second half. Or maybe it was because we didn't play that good in the first half. Well, it doesn't matter, they should have scored some goals in the first half.

I was quite impressed with Can and Yesil on our side. Would have loved to see Khedira's little brother, though. Maybe next match.

Enjoyed the Argentina vs Albania friendly. Argentina's play was reminiscent of Barca at times, playing that same 4-3-3 formation clearly designed to get the best out of Messi - but also make the best use of the embarrassment of riches they have in forward positions. Finished 4-0 with Argentina dominating possession, I think Albania maybe had one chance the entire game and were lucky if they had more than 40% of the ball. Score could have been much higher. Sure the standard of opponent wasn't great but this still bodes well for Argentina's Copa America. Messi was outstanding with 2 assists (the second for Aguero was breathtaking) and a well taken goal, though everyone played well.

edit - although this would surely be the selling of Drogba if he does come and brings Falcao :(

I just hope this Villas Boas deal is finished promptly. Porto needs to decide on a replacement, reinforcements, and I would bet that the agents of Hulk and Falcão are going to get busy the next few days. This should have happen 2 weeks ago. :(

So is Chelsea still seeking Hiddink for the 'Director of Football' role at the club after these Villas-Boas revelations?

I like the idea of Villas-Boas at the club, Porto where amazing last season...not sure he has the defensive nous to win the CL though, porto scored alot but also conceded alot of goals too

EDIT: just read that Villas-Boas is the same age as Drogba and Lampard haha
