We'll buy Barca and sell all their players to United.

Milchmonster said:What reputation does the source have? Seems pretty unlikely or like a big fuck up on City's side if true. Rumors were City wants 20m and Bayern is only willing to pay like 12m. I guess if there was a £7m bid, it was just Bayern making the first step in the negotiations. I know City don't really care about money but that would be hilarious bad negotiations on their side.
Only makes sense. Would be really stupid to let Boateng go at that price. There's no way to get a player like him for £7m.PaulLFC said:Another popular name for that source is "Talkshite", so yeah, not much of a reputation.

Capturing the true story of the team that almost changed how America defined its national pastime, this documentary chronicles the rise of sports sensations the New York Cosmos, the crown jewel of the North American Soccer League in the 1970s. Backed by TV mogul Steve Ross, the phenomenal Cosmos boasted star players such as Pele and Franz Beckenbauer, whipping U.S. fans into a frenzy with their exploits on and off the field.

The Hearts Board of Directors has issued the following statement in relation to outside influences on players and the club.
"What's happening with the club today is not a new thing. For almost 7 years we have been fighting to shield the club from crooks, criminals and thieves. Many of the top players at the club have felt the bitter results of the swindles that have been carried out with them on their own skin. Skacel and Webster have returned to the club after realising where these 'football patriots' have led them.
"Over a short space of time 4 players at our club have been on the wrong end of the law. We note that 3 of them are represented by the same agent - Gary Mackay - who has been so vicious in his attacks against Mr Romanov.
"Taking into account the facts that have been omitted by the media it can be presumed that each of these cases is not a coincidence, but the result of targeted actions of a mafia that wants to manipulate the club and the results.
"Every year Hearts fights to be in the top 3, but even last season in the last 12 games of the season it was almost like someone replaced the team with a different one. Whose fault is that? Players? Manager's? Or it is mafia.
"Stealing players, bad games, problems with the law - all of that on top of record SFA fines. Problems are just shifted to another level.
"Mafia are dragging kids into the crime, in order to blackmail and profit on them. It is not possible to separate these people from pedophiles, and you don't need to do that. Each year we are forced to fight against these maniacs harder and harder. We are standing in their way not letting them manipulate the game of football in the way they want. As such they undermine us in every possible way they can.
"The task of the club is to tear these kids out of hands of criminals."

That's sad because hes a good player. That's not going to work. I can't see Fabregas forcing a transfer.Ushojax said:All they are trying to do is unsettle the player and force him into a transfer request, just like Chelsea did with Modric. They know he won't be sold for that price.

We have enough CM's already and the formation that Conte plays (4-2-4) means 2 spaces. Pirlo will be a dead cert every game and as long as Melo and Marchisio are in the squad, i can't see Meireles coming.
Michele Pazienza was also signed who is also another CM so spunking away £13 million on a position that already has enough depth is stupid when other areas of the squad need strengthening, and i will be annoyed if they make a move for him.
Put the money towards Rossi or Aguero.

Its not even about money with Cesc. You'd believe/assume Cesc would not ask publically for a transfer to Barcelona on the grounds of respect/loyalty to the club. The only reason he wants to move at all is due to his love for his hometown team. I saw a picture of him when he was like 14 with Pique and Messi yesterday on Twitter. That's what he's left behind, his childhood, hometown, friends...and most crucially the club he supports and loves more than any other.PaulLFC said:I couldn't see Torres doing it, or rather should I say I didn't expect him to do it with 3 days to go before the end of the transfer window. Hardly any players are in the "he'll never ask for a transfer" for me. Money talks.
Yeah, I can see Arsenal letting him go if Barca put forward a decent offer but Arsenal are never going to accept stupid deals currently being tabled by Barcelona and Fabregas shouldn't expect them too.farhatraza said:Its not even about money with Cesc. I am 110% sure Cesc loves Arsenal, no doubt. But he loves Barca more. If he asks for a transfer, I don't think there's anything disrespectful or bad about it. Of course how it unfolds remains to be seen and maybe he will do some things which push the boundary. But if he has been told he can move for an agreeable fee and Arsenal demand a massive fee (which they are totally entitled to do) then I can see him putting in a request. I wouldn't blame him. The cases of Torres and Modric and almost anybody else are similar, but also very different. Cesc doesn't "dream of Barca" like Ronaldo did for Madrid. He IS Catalan, that club is a part of his identity.
If I played for any club, and United wanted me...and were as good as Barca are now...I'd be DESPERATE for that move. That's how I look at it. I hope he conducts it in the right way and I'm sure he will, Fabregas seems like a really honest and classy guy.
