City are more likely to land Nasri

- they can offer more cash.
- they can offer the player more wages.
- they may to Arsenal take your pick out of Bridge, Adebayor (LOL), Santa Cruz, Onouha or more likely in my eyes Shaun Wright-Philips.
- City recently won that Sponsors and Marketing award.

How about Given?

A good experienced keeper. Wouldn't hurt for a year or two?

We might not include a player but we might say 'you are free to talk to them and you'll get a cut price deal'.

It's that kind of work that City have hired John Williams for. He's working with Brian Marwood for 6 months and his job is to clear the dross.

Unless City agree to pay half of the players wages (like on FM, and what Newcastle are gonna do for Alan Smith), then no City player will be used in a part exchange.

Not all clubs can have world class midfielders and defences (though to be fair you should know all about the latter).

That are in the process of fucking off cos you win nowt.

Anyone know anything about Emiliano Insua? Staying? Leaving? I think he could do well with the coaches we have. At least keep him as back up and get rid of Aurelio, if he hasn't left already. I like Aurelio, but he's injured for 2/3 of the seasons. Robinson should be loaned out for a year. Could become a really good player but needs first team football.

Contract expires this summer (1st July). He was good in 08/09 when he got about 10 appearances. But the next season he was overplayed and regressed massively.
I hope we buy Izzaguire or Enrique and just have Johnson or Robinson as back up.

Man utd sign Pierluigi Gollini, another keeper u-17. don't know why we keep buying keepers and defenders. Also, Evra thinks we're going to win the champions league next season with the new signings coming into the squad.

Don't think he realises that our mid-field sucks :(

I don't think he realises that he sucks. He cost them that final and has been in dire form for the last year. He'll be replaced by one of the twins soon.

He was awful, pedro was running rings around him. Maybe we could offer him to real madrid next time they come looking for players.

Anyone paying attention to Newcastle? I honestly can't believe the amount of blunders made in the span of one year for that club. From sacking Chris Hughton to selling Andy Carroll to losing the fucking captain of the team and now passing on Daniel Sturridge?

My God...

Don't Chelsea want something daft like £20m for Sturridge? The top clubs won't want him and the mid-table clubs won't be able to afford him. For the amount of shitty, sly moves (which I love) Agent Ashley has pulled off they still manage to do ok.

Fuck, I was holding on to hope of Nasri resigning. Without him and Cesc we will not keep our top four spot unless we spend big on replacements.
That's about as likely as Cesc refusing Barça. It's not going to be a good season, at all.

If the reports are to be believed, Clichy seems like a done deal for City.

Nasri, at the price that's going around, would be a tremendous capture for them too. You're supposed to take the clubs that can afford it to the cleaners when they come in for your best players, but Arse seem happy with the £20-25m fee. I think, as someone already mentioned, if they can receive Given in return, that might be their best deal.

But I'm honestly fine with anything that doesn't land him on the red side of that town.....

He would be on loan to Newcastle

0_o £20-25m (and Given) is taking City to the cleaners. Nasri only has a year left on his contract, like Clichy, and only a few weeks ago many Arsenal supporters were expecting £10m for him. At that price, and if Given is added to the package, I'd say City are strengthening Arsenal not weakening them.

i'd lol hard if Nasri went to City. Arse would be handdelivering their #3 spot to City.
er, City already took Arsenal's #3 spot. Heck, City finished level on points with Chelsea and I wouldn't want to wager on who ends up ahead next season.

Nasri only gave us half a season last year, but we do owe alot to him.

However, if he ends up at City, good riddance to him. He can join them like all the other Arsenal has beens. I can understand him wanting to go to Utd (as much as I hate that idea too), but a move to City would be for nothing else other than a huge weekly packet and all respect from Arsenal fans will be lost.

City finished ahead of Arsenal last season, won a trophy, and got automatic qualification to the Champs Lge. And if Nasri goes there, he'll likely be a starter not sitting on the bench. It might be hard to hear it but a huge pay check is no longer the only reason to go there.

I doubt Arsenal are that dumb ? Sell Cesc to Barca and Nasri+Clichy to City of all teams? Unless they have the alternatives lined up already I don't see it happening. Nasri was terrible in the second half of the season but he is still one of their best players.

It is when he seemingly now has a choice between City or United.

Nah... it's Salvio, he's staying at Atlético,

lol ? I'd stick with Benfica tbh.

Brazilian-Gaf, how good is Danilo ?
Caliendo, who represents Inter defender Maicon, among other players, has declared that the 19-year-old will join Juventus instead, and tipped the player to become a big hit in Italy.
"The next big signing in Serie A will be made by Juventus, who will land Danilo, young player of Santos," he told SportItalia.

German U17 is destroying the US at the moment :)

Too bad I missed the first half because they thought it would be a smart idea to broadcast the women's match on two channels :(

Am I the only one watching the Women's World Cup? I saw the Germany-Nigeria game today and honestly the technical quality and pace of the game was no different to any other international game, the challenges were robust, the passing was crisp and along with the standard incompetent match officials it was really no different to a mens game.

I've never really watched womens football before but I was highly impressed. I'm hopeful in 10 years it will be taken much more seriously, because I would love to watch twice as many televised Spurs games every season.

You want to watch a league which Arsenal wins every year? :p

I watched the Nigeria vs France game, and the Mexico versus England game but the goals were few. Haven't seen the others but I do want to watch the brazilian team and see that superstar everyone keeps talking about. however, copa america is here so it's hard to find the time.

Goals is probably the one thing it's missing, although France beat Canada 4-0 today. It's a bit like the U-21s really, everybody is perhaps a little bit too eager in the final third. Still, some of the challenges were absolutely fantastic from both Germany and Nigeria, plenty of crunching tackles flying in.

Yeah, I like it too. I've always been a huge fan of Renate Lingor and Nadine Angerer myself.

The quality is defintely on par with man third-tier football and even sometimes above. Goalkeepers are not exactly good compared to field players. But overall, women are fine players as well.

As much credit as Xavi gets for making 8 billion passes per game and running the midfield so well, I honestly think Iniesta is the better player by a fair margin. He really encapsulates everything there is in being a real "footballer".
