Hero? LOL. If deliberate cheating makes one a hero...

The guy is an embarrasment and a joke.

He got the red card. I found diving and things like this:

Way worst than what Suárez did. At least he got his punishment.

Shitty rules can be exploited. Thought it was pretty amazing, he cheated, got red carded and still ended up being the hero who saved their ass.

Now that he is at liverpool he is of course a joke but that's a different story. ;)

As I said, you would probably find a lot of players who would do the same as Suarez did when put in his situation.

Clearly you're all jealous of City's web page. Can Liverpool and Spurs compete with the kind of money it takes to have the best website in the league? Don't make me lol.
This made me laugh last week but could.nt say anything as i was banned. And people say liverpool trade on their history, at least we don't rely on the website and a trophy cabinet we picked up from IKEA before parading the fa cup

Will the start of the season relieve all this (sexual) tension ?

Who can say ?

I want to signal my appreciation for the humour provided by that little git's agent.

"In light of continuous speculation in the national and international press about the future of our player, I feel obliged to communicate the departure of Neymar is non-negotiable," De Oliveira said in a statement. "Neymar is a media phenomenon known throughout the world. His talent for brilliant moves on the field is proportional to his charisma.

"The fans love Neymar, not only how he plays, but for his human qualities. That love is shared by millions of other Brazilians who admire him regardless of the club to which he belongs.

Hehe, funnily enough, that very same article mentioned this match and Gary Neville's torrid time against Edmundo. I remember watching this game and thinking, wow, European football isn't that good...why are we getting demolished. I was only 10 and Brazil were basically footballing God's to me so I used to think Brazil actually had the best league with all the best players and over here we knew nothing of them! That's how I justified us getting battered that day to my friends at school the next day =)
LOL, most of the brazilian teams usualy sux compared to the big european ones. But that team (Vasco) was superb! It started getting really good in 1997, when Vasco had found young talents like Juninho, Pedrinho and Felipe (all three played in the national team), and had some other good players like Evair and Edmundo. We won the league in 97' (with a brilliant Edmundo [I think that his average goals per match is still unbeaten]), the Libertadores in 98', vice world champion that year losing for 2-1 for Real Madrid because of a own goal, Mercosul Cup champion in 99' (something like the Europa League [that final was the best game I've seen in my life. In the first half Vasco was loosing for Palmeiras for 3x0, and the game ended with 3x4, with Romario shining on the fied), vice world champion again loosing in the penalties for Corinthians in 2000, and brazilian league champion again in 2000, puting aside smaller trophyes, like Rio-São Paulo Cup and Rio's etate championship. It was an amazing era for the team, that unfortunately stayed in the past. =/

That's very interesting about the Brazilian league and the number of big sides. Come to think of it, it makes sense, I know of so many Brazilian clubs just from passing references, I don't follow the league or anything at all. At least it must be exciting. It's funny, if Vasco are just 3 away from being the most successful...that would seem so close over here in Europe...yet in Brazil is must be a miracle to win 3 titles in a row!

As far as Copa America goes, I'm gonna be backing Chile!
It's funny to see us talking about Arsenal falling from the top 4 in the Premier League, which seems unbelievable, but here in Brazil is so normal (because of the quantity of "main teams") to see big clubs out of the Libertadores, or even going to the second division. Maybe because of the level beeing not so high, though. xD Our best players aways go to play in Europe. Only recently the clubs finances started to get better. It started with the argentine players like Tevez and Mascherano, or Conca, and then the return of some of the big stars, like Adriano, Luis Fabiano, Robinho, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho.

People say that the brazilian league is the hardest league of the world, but honestly, except for teams like Santos (with brilliant guys like Neymar and Ganso), it's not beautiful as watching a big european game... :p

Juventus legend Alessio Tacchinardi does not believe the Bianconeri should blow their transfer budget on Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero.

After the goal he just scored, madrid's the only team that would be able to buy him.

I hope not. They fucking get everyone.

It's possibly difficult for you guys to see, but when I first began participating in this thread, it had such as Top 4 bias to the point where City breaking into the exclusive group meant many posters had strong feelings against my club. It is my natural reaction to defend my club, and coupled with my naturally aggressive nature, it probably makes for a controversial mix.

I can't deny the consensus in here about my posting style, and it's been taken on board. In turn, can I ask that some of the petty City sniping of the likes of Laboured, etc is discontinued? I'm not referring to the legitimate complaints about City's style, transfers, history, etc, I simply mean the petty stuff that is typed out just to gain a reaction. I don't react to it anymore, but it does increase the need for a siege mentality in here.

It's not my intention to shit up the thread, nor do I take any pleasure in ruining anyone's enjoyment of the discussion. I'll do my best to clean my act up, but I would appreciate it if the petty stuff get's left behind. Sorry, and thanks.

RE: My "Top 3" comments.

In my opinion, only three clubs at the moment have the resources required to challenge for a PL title. Football is ruled by money and prestige and the clubs with the money (City, Chelsea) and the clubs with money and prestige (United, Liverpool, Arsenal) are the only ones capable of really challenging in the next three years.

However, Arsenal's woes are common knowledge at the moment and with Wenger seemingly willing to sell Nasri and Fabregas for a price, it must be worrying for Gunner fans about the clubs immediate prospects for success. In terms of Liverpool, I may be writing them off at my own peril, but I think they lack depth. Even moreso with Tottenham who I think have peaked under Redknapp.

In the end, it comes down to player stocks, and Chelsea, United and City have the three best lists in the league. In my opinion. You can postulate about your Suarez's and your Carroll's or your Bale's and your Modric's, but at the end of the day I don't believe those clubs have the list depth to really challenge over 38 games.

So why is that?, Winning the league obviously speaks for itself, 2nd,3rd,4th for the CL. What's going to change?, unless UEFA decide to drop one of our CL places.

Third place guarantees you entry to group stage, but 4th place means you have to compete in a play-off for group-stage entry.

Just watched a better video of De Gea. I got a much better impression of him from this particular video, and his ability to catch the ball and hold it while in full flight is Schmeichel-esque. It's a very hard thing to do well and requires pristine balance, core strength and confidence. Very impressive.

Everyone knows Agüero is going to Liverpool. Along with Juan Mata, Wesley Sneijder, Sakho, Cissokho, Subotic and Coentrao. They're all closet reds!

(I kid, but deep down, I also wish :( )

What was surprising was how Bolvia negated him and Tevez so well. He is probably as baffled as all of us watching.

My transfer bids keep getting knocked back. Is there a trick to it ?

Scout the player first and your scout tells what he thinks the price is. Then add 15% to that said price. That price almost always goes through for me.

Liverpool Star Ejected From Training Ground

Aquilani, 26 who recently returned from a loan spell at Juventus, had been ordered by Kenny Dalglish to report back early for pre-season training but was forced to leave the premises when security guards mistook him for an intruder.

“We saw this long haired fella kicking a ball around and couldn’t understand what he was trying to do”

“He kept taking shots from the edge of the area but the ball was flying all over the place, we presumed he was a local drunk and decided to throw him out before he smashed any of the windows”

“We asked him nicely to leave but he refused and said that he was a £20 million Liverpool player……This cracked us both up but we admired his cheek and asked him to prove it”.

The Italian then challenged both security guards to prevent him scoring a spot kick.

“After 76 failed attempts we told him enough was enough, we both had homes to go to and we could have been there all night, I’m not being funny but if he’s a footballer he did a really good job at hiding it” said Hill.

The security guards forcibly ejected Aquilani who later filed a complaint with the club.

Cheers. Just paid over the odds for an Argentinian prospect, but am relatively chill.

Although Nani did just break his foot in a meaningless friendly.
