A lot depends on how Liverpool's new players work out, and whether or not Spurs' existing team can maintain a run against the rest of the Big 6 (I think we have to use that term now). Are Spurs even looking at players this year? Everything I read about them suggests that they're not doing anything unless players leave. I guess that's the Redknapp effect.

City, well, losing Tevez hurts, but I don't think its the end of the world. Guys like Johnson, Dzeko, and Balotelli *should* be able to fill in the gaps.
I think it depends even more on our current squad. So many questions to be answered. Will Meireles and Aquilani be there next season? Will Gerrard and Agger be fit? Will Carroll find his place?

The U17 match between Germany and Brazil is fucking awesome, 2-3 at halftime. That's what I was about to say before that diving cheat Adryan scored twice for Brazil... It's still awesome but that asshole spoiled it a bit.

I agree, it's pretty ridiculous. We nearly lost the bloody game against Sivasspor. There's all sorts of dodgy dealings going on but Fener seems like it's going to be the sacrifice, irregardless of other whether other teams have been dodgy.

All the foreign players will be sold. I doubt Lugano, Stoch, Dia, Niang, Yobo etc will want to play in Bank Aysa League 1 :p Maybe we'll keep Guiza olol. Wouldn't be able to pay him, though :p

Anyway, Aziz Yildirim has been formally charged with match fixing. Shame the pric is going to take the club with him, but at least he's likely to lose his position at Fener, something i've been relishing for a few years. Has no business running a football club.
If we're capable of match fixing then how come we haven't won the Turkish cup in 26 years? As you said, we almost lost the championship in the last game. The score was 3-4, with a couple minutes left... It looked like we were going to concede another if there were more time.

Aziz Yildirim is one of the most hated men in Turkish football. This was done to finish him, and sadly FB is going down with him.

EDIT: bendtner interst from roma. hamburg and benfica. PSG want to take Anelka back to france. found on twitter, but don't worry arsenal fans, its probably not true though ;)

If I was Arsene I'd fly him to the airport. And I'd happily let Anelka go back to France. Let's do some business this week please AVB!

Did Ozil's stamina get any better over the season. Every time i watched Madrid he looked spent around 65 mins.

Iniesta-esque otherwise though.

lol your meltdown posts after the FIGC cleared us of any "cheating" allegations were comical actually.

Usually I don't like to participate in this, but 'll post it once again just to rub it in even more.

the following Calcio figures as being guilty back in 2006 of - along with Juventus - violating Article 1 of the Code of Sporting Justice:

Campedelli (Chievo), Cellino (Cagliari), Corsi (Empoli), Foschi (Palermo), Foti (Reggina), Gasparin (Vicenza), Governato (Brescia), Meani (Milan), Moratti (Inter), Spalletti (Udinese).

Palazzi also alleged that the following men should have been found guilty of violating Article 6 of the Code of Sporting Justice:

Facchetti (Inter), Meani (Milan), Spinelli (Livorno)

Article 6 violations (the attempt to gain an advantage in the standings through match-fixing or attempted match-fixing) are deemed worthy of immediate relegation. Even in the now-discredited trial of 2006, Juventus were cleared of any Article 6 violations, and were only demoted due to a combination of Article 1 violations (unsportsmanlike conduct, which can be anything from swearing on the pitch to excessively calling Bergamo and Pairetto), misdemeanours that had never before resulted in anything more than fines or, at most, a minor points penalty.

Thus, according to the findings of the FIGC’s chief investigator, it is Inter, Milan and Livorno who should have been relegated in 2006 and not Juventus
.

I think Özil needs to get better at scoring goals to be a true world class player.

And what's with all the Higuain rumors, does Mourinho really want to sell him? I really wouldn't unterstand it. That would be another case of Robben/Sneijder and really great for the club that gets him.

I don't think Mourinho ever liked him. And now that he's lost a yard of pace it's not out of the question.

It's a rumour though, 25m + Higuain or Benzema for Tevez. Based on performance I'd take Tevez over these two :p But is he worth the headache and drama that comes with him ?

meltdown?

the point is that you are listing allegations, nothing that has actually been proven. juve was accused of things that it was later found innocent of, but you are treating the recent allegations as though they have been throughly proven when that is not the case.

(that being said, the big three are corrupt to a significant degree, though historically juve have been the most so).

Wouldn't want tevez with all the drama. He'll probably stay 2 seasons, 3 at best and then come out with his restaraunt tantrums and say it's too sunny in madrid. Benzema is young and played pretty well imo. I would say they should go for aguero,
but that wouldn't please you :)

Meltdown, yes? do you want me to quote your posts ? It's a few pages back but it's probably worth it for a few laughs.

Palazzi is the same guy who relegated us, which basically means whatever he said before about Juventus is automatically false.

I would say they should go for aguero

Aguero in Madrid is quite deadly and will make the classicos more enjoyable. ;)

Take him over Neymar :p

When is the time a player plus cash deal has been completed for such high profiles players? I'm honestly drawing a blank, as they're so rare. I know we landed Cole for Gallas plus £, but that was five years ago now.

I tuned into the Women's World Cup game between Brazil and the USA, and left for work after Brazil went ahead in the second minute of extra time, thinking it was over.

When I got back into my car and tuned in to ESPN Radio at around 10 PM, I was expecting the fallout from losing to be epic.

But the USA won. Holy shit. Holy fucking shit. Had they lost, that would have been a screwjob so epic that Vince McMahon would have said "damn, that screwjob was epic". Instead, Team USA didn't throw in the towel, and on they go to the semis.

FIFA should be ashamed of all those blown calls, and the officiating crew should be banished to the NBA where they belong.
