If i had a PC gaming, I would buy it that way, but I have this
stupid
policy to not use any gaming on my PC.

thats why I am going with the infiriour PSP version.

what happened to the 360 game for this game? they released the 2 first FM game on it and it just basically died...

I refuse to play these games for three reasons.

1) My PC probably can't run it
2) These games look like a fucking spreadsheet
3) I have heard they are insanely addictivve and i avoid games with such a rep.

1) Your PC can probably run any FM game--just not with the fancy 3D match view (which old school players only use for goal replays anyway)
2) It's like any other RPG. Less number-crunching than Pokemon.
3) Well, if you can keep your head while playing FM then yours is the glory, the game and everything that's in it and what's more, you'll be a manager my son.

I only play FM 2 or 3 times a year on binge weekends when I lock myself in on Saturday morning and wake up with on Monday with the biggest cup I could find

You sure about that? I really want to jump in (love simulations), but hell, I'm getting lost in simple "Start a New Game" menu.

Holy crap. I think I may have made a mistake. I noticed that my settings include 57000 players. I think my computer is going to cry...

Game is out on Steam, btw.

I went into this game basically blind and almost knowing nothing about Football in the highest level. 300 hours later in FM2010 and I am jumping in again with 2011. Just learn as you go man, its not hard, you can start a game fresh whenever you want to.

Its all about delving into the game and start learning it bit by bit. Yes I do thin its defenetly easier to understand than all those Pokemon stats because its an ongoing thing rather something you would need to know about it in one sitting.

I am crying as we speak. Please Amazon, ship my order :(

Since it went live early last night on steam, I started my journeyman unemployed career. I got asked to manage a chinese team that sat at the bottom of the table. I employed a 4-3-3 strategy with them, as it seemed to suit them best. When I arrived they were about 14 games into the season.

First game was gainst the #1 place team in the division, and we lost 2-1, because of an own goal -_-. Next three games were a win and 2 draws. So we sit second from the bottom now, but still in relegation zone. My goal is to get them at least out of relegation.

Picked this game up from GAME after lectures this morning for £15.19 with £10 Reward Card credit and Student discount, currently installing through Steam now.

Can't wait to smash Shankly and Paisley's records and guide Liverpool to many titles and European Cups. Then eventually I'll start a new game with some unknown club and sign a bunch of youth prospects.

One thing I love about FM is it's accuracy regarding youth players. Every year it suggests me signing Micheal Potts from Blackburn (formally of Man U), a player who I went to school with, played alongside in the school football team and shared a dorm room with on a European Football tour. It's little touches like that which are just brilliant.

Some researchers know their youth teams better than others. Nick, Man U Researcher, knows the Man U Youth Set Up inside and out. Top bloke.

Give them a pat on the back from me, it makes the game so much deeper and enjoyable. Honestly the first thing I do every year is sing Pottsy (Micheal Potts) and shape him into a top player.

Started with United. Gonna play it like I almost always do, trying to be somewhat realistic. So with United, I'm doing stuff that Ferguson might do IRL. So not buying anyone hugely expensive but targetting young, promising players.

Did an enquiry about Bale first of all. Mofo costs about 40 million euros. :lol Pass. Shame though as he has amazing attributes and a wonderkid tag. After a short while of scouting, I ended up buying Rodwell from Everton (16 mil) and Pastore from Palermo (20 mil). Sold few reserve players who have no chance of getting into first team as well as Carrick (12 mil) who has been disappointing for too long IRL (and I now got Rodwell for midfield).

Bought few really cheap players: Kevin (his info said might be the next Xavi and my scout highly recommended him) and Agyei (info says he will be the next Essien and again, my scout highly recommended him). Also loaned out few players for cheap small cash + experience for them (Bebe, Smalling, Macheda).

First league match started with a shocker as Blackburn beat me 3-0, WTF? I played better even but they scored from every chance they got. After that I have won each league game though. Blackburn is leading the table with 6 wins in 6 games. :lol Nani has been amazing so far, my best player. After that is Rooney and Berbatov. Pastore has shown flashes of awesomeness but I'm still tweaking his instructions, not totally happy how he has been playing.

vs Man Utd home 3-0
vs Sunderland away 1-0
vs Bolton home 2-1
vs Wolves away 1-0
vs West Ham home 1-0
vs Arsenal away 2-1

Can't see them lasting too long though. Me and Arsenal are both trailing them with Everton and Chelsea not too far away. City and Tottenham seem to be the early floppers, they are 14th and 15th.

Edit: Nooo Rooney just got injured for a month.

They beat Arsenal at the Emirates

At least the rooney injury will make it realistic for your season as well, since hes been out for a while IRL this season. =p Berbatov will step up.

Na Arsenal fan here, im a gooner :)

Just thought it was funny they were leading after 6 games. Not implying they arent a good team, just suprised one of the powerhouses wasn't at the top.

How much money do Liverpool have now with NESV?
£25 million summer transfer budget. And you speak to John Henry, not Martin Broughton like on the demo.

Signed Steven Defour for £6 million, looking to plough the rest into Valancia for Mata. If that goes tits up I'll get Arda Turan.

Is anyone else going to start unemployed with Sunday reputation like me? Just curious so I have someone to talk to about it.

Damn, Shopto let me down, oh well. Back to the demo where i've got a Chelsea save going.

Dzeko for £25.5m on my last demo save wasn't great with my 4-3-3 formation (the attacking 3 were all in the middle), so i've signed Neymar (£17.75m) and Alexis Sanchez (£11m) to see how they play for me up there instead. Miranda - a Brazilian DC can be had for about £7m and hes pretty good as well.

In 2010, Neymar was incredible. I was Leeds and brought them to the premier league, Neymar scored 55 goals in all competitions. I wonder if he is as good this year.

Spurs

Two signings so far, Dzeko for 22.5 mil and Lukaku for 6 mil. What always annoys me is no one wants to buy players at the start of the game. Almost every offer is a loan offer. Still, I sold Niko and Jenas because we had too many midfielders. Anyone who wants a top but cheap signing, Rakitic for 5-6 mil. I would have him if I had space for him.

Not sure who I am going to go this time, in the 2010 edition I spent a year at Cowdenbeath and then spent 8 years at Peterborough where I eventually won the Champion's League. I could go to my beloved Newcastle or Rangers but I really liked working my way up from obscurity.

Ouch, I got around that much last year when I got Peterborough promoted to the Premier League. :lol

There are less jobs available if you start the season with no team selected than in 2010 aren't they?

I had to wait 3 months to be able to get into a team as there was only one manager position at the start and they rejected me :lol

Also, no music? I can't remember but didn't 2010 had some music in the menus? It feels so empty without any music at all...

Started my new career with Everton ( as always ) - got a whopping £2.6m to spend.

Ah well, out the door goes Beckford, Distin, Osman, Saha and anyone else on obscene money. Saha is on £50k a week ffs!!

I bought him in the demo for United, kept getting homesick all the time for me.
