No. Similar to your thread about how Mbappe compares to a young Messi, Salah is a great player, one of the best in the world right now. But there’s a difference between “only” being one of the best players in the world at any given moment and being in the discussion for the best ever. As good as Salah is no one is talking about him in those terms like they do with Messi.

On the last thread mbappe vs Messi, a lot talked about how Messi had a great barca team saying he would not have been the same without that team. Well, in he national team he didn't have anyone near as good and yet he is argentinas top everything beating out Batistuta and crespo.

Mbappe won a world cup with an elite team right next to him and to not call PSG elite is ridiculous. They have an elite team, they just can't play together.

Now, it's one thing to compare mbappe to Messi, but Salah?

I wouldn't say crazy. But as that thread showed I don't think you'd find too many people who would say that. When he was 23 Messi had already won two Balon d'Ors and was considered by many to be the best player in the world. I suppose Mbappe is currently in the conversation for best in the world alongside a few others. But although he's great he's not talked about in the same way that Messi was at his age.
