Whoa, did you guys see this? Apparently Liverpool's official website added another name to the squad list, then deleted it immediately. Someone was quick and got a screenshot though.

Honestly I could see this happening. He wouldn't be on too high of wages, at least compared to a City player like Wayne Bridge, Jo or Adebayor. He's definitely the type of player we need (a goalscorer), and pretty good with the ball, too. Maxi probably put in a good word, since they play for the same national team.

The more I think about it, the more clear it is that this is the signing Rodgers says people would get excited about (not sure myself, still think he'll have to prove himself to the fans). Bring on the new season!

That picture at the top that Blablurn posted looks like a different girl though. Looks just like Sasaki Nozomi.

edit: Yeah that's definitely Nozomi. One of the cuter Japanese 'talents,' though she'll never beat Ueto Aya <3

Edit: just got told by my source that he is in fact paid a lot of money, but would be willing to take a pay cut. Says he rates Rodgers and wants a challenge. Hmm... think there's something in this.

Bollocks mate, he is already presigned with the club he supported as a boy.

Seriously, can you imagine if Messi came and played in the PL? It would be amazing to see him tear it up.

Hell I wouldnt even mind if it was with Liverpool, I just want to see him play.

He must look at that image and get goosebumps just thinking about playing with masters of the game like Joe Cole, Charlie Adam and Jamie Carragher.

Also I'd kill to see him play in the PL.

My first exposure to RAWK and I hope Dempsey doesn't end up at Liverpool so I can root against them....

Carroll - 35m
Henderson - 18m
Downing - 20m
Adam - 7m

Downing 0
Henderson 2
Adam 2
Kuyt 2
Carroll 4

Dempsey's league goals per year: 1-6-7-7-12-17

Not worth 7-10m, mediocre, not up to Liverpool standards (because they were so much better than Fulham), had one fluke year, too old, etc.

He's not worth £10m. He's 29 and in the last year of his contract. £6-7m would be reasonable IMO.

Inter is aiming for Paulinho (corinthians), 8,5M deal.

Fuck, Paulinho + Ralf was just amazing, they controled the midfield, never let any of oponents midfielders play, Neymar did nothing against us, Riquelme did nothing against us. Noone was able to create goal oportunities with our 2 dogs in front of the defence. More than that, Paulinho is great in the attack too, always aiming for the goal, scoring quite a lot (for a CM/DM)! We will miss you!

Our qualifying goal, scored in the 87th minute, in the quarter finals, agains Vasco. Epic moment. (at 8 secs is our coach, that got a red card so went to watch the match with the crowd haha)

Out Libertadores title only came because of them! And now he is leaving for EIGH AND a HALF! Fuck it. And I see you guys talking about teams paying 10M in Dempsey LOL LOL LOL

Well, that is how life goes. Europeans come here, pay nothing for our best players. =/
then we see trades like CARROL for THIRTY FIVE! wow you guys have some serious issues

btw, CONMEBOL rank:

Remember when Müller scored? It was an awesome moment. Everything went bad after Drogba's goal though, you just had that feeling like 'these bastards are going to win, aren't they?'...
I remember when Muller scored I was so happy, the biggest smile on my face, that didn't last long thanks to Drobga but when Robben missed that penalty I became deflated since the writing was on the wall from that point. Chelsea winning the CL was just so disappointing for me.

Cant believe we lost the CL final :(

Last season was so awesome:

- Final day, final minute Premier League shenanigans
- Chelsea doing Barca
- Drogba in the final
- Juve going unbeaten
- Spain getting three tournaments in a row
- Barca dethroned by Madrid

The new season has a lot to live up to.

I would give up a nut for Lucas Moura.

I am assuming its the Sao Paulo midfielder. Rumour is someone is willing to pay 25M for him (whic is a lot, specially considering that usually we cant sell players for their reasonable price), but Sao paulo president said there is no bid on him, but that this price is laughable. Loved it. Finally someone giving the boys their value (after Neymar, holding Lucas is great, and I hope all other teams do that as well)

But i know that if a top team offer that, they will accept. And he will be gone. No matter what the president say/said.

oh, and about Paulinho, he is only leaving Corinthians because we don't own his economic rights =( so we can't refuse the offer.

Paulinho is great, I'd say he's almost as good as Lucas Leiva (no kidding).

I dont remember how great Lucas was when he was still around here (Gremio). And I haven't been following him in Liverpool as well, only the brazil matches. And it seems to me that Paulinho is equally good playing in the defense, but better at supporting the attack.

Yeah. Muppet newspapers seemed to have narrowed it down to Chelsea, Inter, and MUFC.

His agent was full of "NOT GOING ANYWHERE" a while back, but that was fairly transparently strategic.

Chelsea seem to have looked elsewhere, and Inter's reported offers seem even lower than what United might be expected to fork out. If indeed we genuinely care. Which we might; I'm not remotely persuaded that the club are strictly looking at DMs.

That said, Banned Paper have no earthly clue what they are talking about when they say that a club delegation is going here or there. They don't know what's happening in London, let alone South America.

as long as City doesn't win anything, it should be a pretty great season.

I liked that all the players I totally despise - JT, Suarez and Barton all showed how much of a Terry they are.

Last season was awesome because Newcastle came out of nowhere as legit top 4 contenders. What fucking dimension we're I have no idea but I fully expect the universe to rectify itself soon enough. That also includes Tottenham never being a top 4 team again and Chelsea returning to title contenders.
OH NO HE DI-ENT

And you managed to apparently fuck up Dybalas transfer. You fucking JT's.

Brian Marwood is inept. Hence why Khaldoon had to go out in person to the Aguero deal and hence why Nasri joined so late when we were chasing for months.

That's why Mancini wants more power.

Haha oh wow!

Remember how Umbro and City asked for fans to come up with ideas to launch the new kit? Well this guy wanted to launch it, quite literally.

I will miss Umbro when we switch to Nike. Umbro fo' life.
