Yeah I remember Wenger wasn't impressed at all by M'Vila's reaction when he got subbed off against Spain. Lizarazu and him went about it for a while, total lack of respect from Yann, snubbed Laurent Blanc's handshake and started pouting/muttering.
Maybe Arsene is a bit reluctant to deal with classless French divas, can't blame him after what happened with Nasri. At least Giroud doesn't seem the type of guy who will throw a tantrum.
About Gylfi, I can easily see him join the Spurs over Liverpool for reasons that have been posted above. I don't think it's a killer blow though, there are other players out there who could do the same job fine. Just a bit worrying that Liverpool have a hard time attracting a player of his calibre.
M'vila (and half the french squad) was classless as fuck in their collapse this time around, but I wouldn't hold it against him. Maybe I'm letting his footballing skill blind me, but he's 21. These kinds of things happen - either they grow older or they don't. Podolski had the same kind of issues when he moved to Bayern and here we are signing him. At the very least, I'm sure M'Vila respects Wenger more than he respects Blanc - so I'd still take him.
Fuck it, I just want M'Vila. We can deal with the fallout later, because there won't be any. Wenger needs to get some common sense and realize RVP and Fabregas were the same way, but he put up with that shit because they were good enough - no need to pretend to take the moral high ground now.
I'm chuffed to bits about Giroud signing, he's a top quality striker with physical attribute of a giant.
I'm also of an opinion that Chamakh could have been a massive hit in this league if he played for a team who suited his style and had him face the right way and crossed the ball into the box more often than not. And that brings me squarely back to Giroud, I'm afraid he will end up the same if Arsène is planning to take out his fangs and make him face the wrong way.
I have the same opinion of Chamakh. Adebayor was a revalation when he was able to play the entire season with a proper support system once Henry left - granted Chamakh was never a prolific goal scorer (nor is he any good with his feet) in Ligue 1, but Giroud can fill that role as clearly can use both his head and his feet. If he's merely a Chamakh replacement, and not meant to replace RVP, I'd be overjoyed. If the system is built around him and Wenger plays him (and not on the fucking wing) up front, maybe with RVP in the hole, then he'll score 20 goals a season, no question. Much more confident about Giroud than Podolski, especially since Podolski will play on the wing and be shit.
And also :lol
Nasri facing two year ban from the FFF. That would be glorious, though would sadly also help City's cause greatly. All those dreams...
